Had a brief look at the wiring. If you have a Ga16 sentra and you get the correct Sr20 donor, you can just plug everything in.

In my case that is very much no. Not sure if it's because ga15, but I think really its because of what I'm calling "big nissan" donor.

Not a huge issue in my case, I expected as much, and even more so it doesn't really matter because I'm putting the haltec in it.

I might check out some other SR nissans to see what their loom does, as it might be worth it to change a section of the loom to the correct type for in cabin plugs.

First up was the alternator sub loom. Bluebird has the same plugs on the alternator and aircon pump, but car side is different. Unwrap the bluebird alternator loom section, as it is partially connected to the rest of the engine loom. Unpin the yellow with red stripe and the white wire from the grey 8 pin plug. Can now seperate the bluebird alt sub loom

Ga15 alternator loom is already fully seperate, so just have to unclip it and attach it to the Sr20 alternator (80amp vs the ga's 70amp)

The loom clip thing needs to be moved a little, so the wires aren't too strained

Otherwise that's it

The ga actually uses much heavier wiring for this too, also sr has 2 power feed wires coming off the alt. mildly interesting

Box didn't have a vss/speedo drive in it. I think they are cable drive on 92 p10s. It looks like all the other wreckers p10s got crushed today, so no luck there.

I checked amayama, the electronic one is on thr diagram but not listed, but the mechanical pinion assembly came up about 10 models cross referenced, so I think it might actually be the electronic one listed.

Anyways, pulled the ones I have out

White one is from ga15 box. Appears to sit too deep, the wheel rubs on that black disk just above the gear rather than the gear.

Purple one is from the u13 box, and it appears to be the correct depth and spun up when I turned the box over by hand. Will double check the teeth are meshing.

Dunno how this will interact with the wingroad speedo, but it's fairly easy to fudge the signal to read how ever much higher or lower.

Otherwise I can search for a later manual box that has the electronic speedo in it, or run an adaptor on a mechanical drive, or take it from somewhere else entirely. Internet said that an electronic drive wouldn't even fit in a mechanical drive box, so maybe it was electronic, or maybe they are full of shit

Got the gearbox mount.

Bolt pattern is a reverse to the GA mount, and it's overall shorter in length. Length is probably correct for the SR box, I'm predicting it goes in no worries.

Also got a new radiator

That's more or less it. Need to pull the flywheel and get that surfaced. I figured out all the wires under the wingroad dash so everything should work. Oh I need to grab a different AC compressor to work with the SR belt size and the wingroad hard-line.

Plan is to bolt it together and install, check what holes and brackets are needed. Then pull it out, pull engine apart and put new seals and gaskets in it, and paint engine bay

Also stamped what it is on the flat bit where people online say the data is stamped, but I have never seen that on any gearbox ever. But now it is, mainly for my memory.

In etch primer grey for now. Unsure what final colour. Maybe something fun. I have loads of options, but maybe grey, it looks ok

Il probably do the external seals before it gets bolted in

Got the intercooler/intake piping from a rnessa at the wreckers

Was full of water and oil, so probably not much else of use off that car. But factory fitting pipes are nice

Also realised I don't need to pull an axle hanger because now I have the thicker sr sentra shafts I can use the one off the bluebird.

Also picked up an additional turbo for spares

oh so unlikely to find one at pick a part then...

I have seen an autech y10 there before. I dunno enough about later models, but appears to be a autech rider edition

But seems to be riders with a less aggressive wing without the side bits, and a smaller wing yet again on regular wingroads that have them
