JustHarry Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Soo fell into the trap of another suspiciously under priced 90s luxury vehicle. Been hooning this 96 stagea for 3 months trouble free. Till It blew all the water out the other day. Think it's been over heated by previous owner and had some chemi weld of such other thing put in it to fix it temporoaly. When I filled the cooling system with rad flush I think it's washed it out and now head gasket is rooted again Poor stagea. Will take motor out . Do rear main seal, cam belt, crank and cam seals, water pump, termostat, and valve stem seals whilst it's all apart. And head gasket Quote
Marsh Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Sorry to hear it gave out but it seems like the perfect time for a proper LD28 conversion 4 Quote

JustHarry Posted May 6, 2018 Author Posted May 6, 2018 Pulled the head off this pos this morning. Turns out no 6 has blown round water jacket. Goodly amount of scunge on top of piston and in head Will take head into work and give it all a real good clean up and do valve stem seals and whatnot. May even do an oil change whilst I can get to the oil filter Pics Quote
