tortron
The engine needs to be run in to bed in the rings
braden
but it wont start cause compression is only like 30psi on all the cylinders
Yowzer
Compression will read low on a fresh engine as the rings won't seal properly, I don't know how low though. Did you have the throttle wide open on cranking?
downtrail
Is the cam timing correct? If not itll be low
Guypie
but it wont start cause compression is only like 30psi on all the cylinders Stick a bit of oil in the bores? dunno if it would work so well on a car engine, but thats what I did on a scooter motor once when it had no compression after rebuild and it worked. Once it got started bedding in it was ok.

Mof
Are you sure the crank isn't out 360° Making the valves at rock instead of compression position?
braden
yeah the first 2 valves are on rock.but rotate it 360 and there still on rock.how to I change this
eke_zetec_RWD
Sounds like it's gone very wrong. Should have way more than 30 on a new motor. Chuck up a pic of the cam when you have it on Tdc number 1 cylinder

AllTorque
These have hydraulic lifters don't they? Maybe they haven't bled up yet. If you have been cranking it over heaps they should be sweet tho. Have you cranked it over with the spark plugs out to prime the oil system?
