0R10N
Epic. I do believe I shall become a regular customer of Dgysam+trailer combo. Know for a fact Sam probably won't complain if I swap him the use of the Skyline again
EURON8
Trailer will be tested under load tomorrow. Van is going off somewhere for something spesh
Chickity
Underwent successful test on the weekend. Hauled a couple hundred kilos of kauri slabs up from Thames. Nothing fell off, rubbed, broke, exploded or impaled anyone/thing. Test #2 this weekend, doing the same thing.
Ned
use kauri slabs to build a box on it and have a choice 'caravan' for new years meat?
Chickity
That's what the van is for... Plus that'd be a heavy as all else caravan!
Chickity
Trailer doing what a trailer does. Tried hard to break it, it resisted. Unfortunately there aren't any shots of it getting it's tilt on, which is a shame. It also just, by a couple of cms, fits through the driveway gate posts at home. Just missed smashing the brakes off the front... Gigantor trailer looks even bigger with a car on it. The little Humber has no overhang and miles of room on either side. Beaver
lol, how did you manage to drive it off the front?
Chickity
When the trailer tilted back to flat, the wheels unsiezed and it rolled forward. Has no brakes. Was pretty funny.

xsspeed
Was Chris' face like when it scratched his shiny trailer?
Vintage Grumble
Thats a friggen sweet trailer that is, I can appreciate a well designed/made trailer I can.
Chickity
Chris was all like *facepalm*. Didnt actually scratch it. There is a nice oily smear on the deck where the gearbox hit though.
anglia4
I actually laugh out loud everytime I see that pic of the car falling off the front
EURON8
Ya, off the front was a real facepalm moment. Turned out to be pretty easy to get it back on properly with tailgate levering up the front and tara driving the landy towing it backwards. So glad my trailer now has some miles of haulage on it. Needs more scratches and fade. Shiny new galv is not awesome.
xsspeed
Is the galvanising crowd part of your work or separate?
EURON8
All galv/zinc/plating/etc is outsourced to various plating outfits.
xsspeed
OK Ta, do you have any idea of costs associated? My (tiny) boat trailer will need regalving at some point (its at least 17 years old) - sorry for thread spammage but kind of related
EURON8
i'll allow it I can always ask the question. Might be able to sort a deal if u drop off pre stripped trailer frame
sentra
do you happen to know if there is any possibility of getting a trailer with duratorques galvinized while they are on? (the duratorque beam is welded to the trailer for maximum no u-bolt action) like could they be wrapped in something or something
EURON8
no idea. Cut that shit off
