LOL I will update the thread tomorrow with new pics.

The wheel arch's have been raised, just need to extend the inner guard to the outer now.

Floor has been cut to accomodate the set-back 202 and kept the tunnel in one piece as we will slip this backwards a couple of feet.

Removed the remaining bits like pedals, brake lines and steering from the front.

Eyed up the hilux diff housing and it looks like it should go in ok uncut with the wheels I have.

;) yep im a nutter

hmmmm Bart now thats a an interesting thing.

You know you want to mate!

You wouldn't be looking at running huge boost old an antique (lol) like the 202, but the instant torque delivery that a supercharger offers would be like adding another 4 cylinders. I know that If I could get an efi manifold off the shelf for my car it would have been injected as well as blown long long ago.

Yea that would be a weapon so you better do it... we are making the cage so it can be homologated for circuit racing so that way if we can get hold of some commy brakes we are in. Honestly we are going to make this on a pretty tight budget.

The main costs will be cage, belts, and plumbing as the running gear is stuff thats lying around.

^ VN-VR brakes of interest? Brother wrecks them...

They would be perfect for the weight but $$ is tight until its built as this is going to be <$1k build I hope.

We also have found an old Hilux steering setup in amongst the bits n pieces which will allow us to put the steering back as we will be sitting about 1ft in front of where the back seat would have been :D

The aim is to try and lift the wheels on launch once turbo'd and if it gets too much then add weight

First few drags will be with basically a stock 202 (150hp) and once we are happy we have it sorted then slap on a decompression plate and turbo it straight into the black motor carby inlet as the injected inlet goes over the top of the engine and has small runners whereas the carby inlet has quite a large throat leading in so shouldn't be a problem.

I have one which was modified to take a 4-barrel which I had run on my engine, it gave massive torque but ran short in the high revs which is what we are after as this should be the reliability factor, keeping the old red under 6k revs is the aim.

Wise move doing that to the floor. When we made the gearbox Xmember for Chris's shove-it, the floor required extensive reinforcement. The factory pan was as flimsey as hell.

Yea they are dam lite in the floor and we are adding some extra weight but hopefully we can make it lite enough not to matter too much and we can use the original centre tunnel as the Holden gear box and bell housing are similar size to a 4 cylinder.
