Hezath
I completely rate this car, new wheels look good dude, polishing up the lips and gunmetalling the centres is the best thing you could have done to them!
SloNLo
Thanks man. I must get around to putting up some more recent pics. It's now sitting another inch and a half lower in the rear.

crownin round
Ok so i have a few ideas to put forward as im considering once i find some wheels i like more to put some low profiles on this and get it certed maybe. So as it is now leaf springs are pretty much flat a little curve so was thinking off ways the keep this height in the rear maybe lower a tad more and a bit stiffer. they are currently one leaf removed (second to bottom i thnk) and top to flipped. Could lonslo confirm? So ideas so far are: add in the missing leaf and get reset to this height. But still think that might not be as stiff as id like. Get a set from a donor vechicle like hilux with more leaves and have that reset to the current height. Also shackles could probably lose an inch. so custom shackles. If using springs that may invert make a tramp bar sort of thing to minimise tramp due to blocks. or just an idea make a double sided version of this that would effectively limit the droop? possibily? And as for front springs cuts maybe a bit soft so cut down my v8 hq springs and repaint but this would require shorter shocks. any ideas on how to find any? Also wheel ideas etc thanks ps sorry in advance for any stuff that is wrong or wont work as i enjoy this stuff i just dont know much. Also all comments appreciated need ideas thanks. Snoozin
Holden shocks in the front ftw. Shorter and hold it all captive
crownin round
yeh im thinking that the shocks in there now may be hq as with 3 coils lopped off they are still captive. I was hoping to use an significantly uprated spring but would this not mean that the freelength is alot shorter and even hq shocks may not be short enough? or are they good down to a very short spring? fletch
from memory xf coils fit the front and are a lot harder. edit- less a few coils this one time me and ray took his rear leafs to pickapart and compared them to everything in the yard and came home with bedford jumbo or something like that leaves. they are a single leaf, and flat, just need a new locating hole drilled in them. putting lots of power through the rears and springs dont twist or anything. RUNAMUCK
Can you have the eyes reversed? That helps a bit.
crownin round
what car is the bedford springs in? do you have any pics fletch or could get some im pretty keen to see it. they kind of have been since the top 2 leaves are flipped atm cheers or would putting them back to standard and reversing the eye have more effect? fletch
rays got a 130 cedric. same suspension as 230. ill try and find a photo but i doubt it. maybe ray can supply one. his username is ja1lb8 on here. send him a pm also, on my 130, which ray owned previously, he flipped the second leaf and clamped it back together and it was low as, the bump stops were doing alot of work!
