MichaelJFox
I grinned from ear to ear at your speaker boxes Kicker's a good choice. I just finished installing boschmann tweeters in the merc this morning. Sounding good. Had to tune it all to match the bloody sub/6x9's etc. I've got these ratty old kenwood 6x9's that came with the car. Swapped them with fusions, but the old ones sounded better so put them back Encounter stuff blows.

Manda
Whats the auto box? Cant you bolt it down?
MichaelJFox
The automatic gear box. It slips gears. So it misses and just rev's like all hell. So when that happens I need to baby it back into gear.

Manda
Yea actually I noticed yesterday when i was cleaning under there that it is just sitting there. its not doing anything...Whats it supposed to do?
Yowzer
Clamps the hose so the fuel doesn't leak / hose doesn't fall off etc
Manda
So if its not connected does that mean my cars leaking fuel?
MACKAZ
highly probable.... could be an overflow from the fuel bowl, I dont know. i cannot see pictures on this work computer....
Unclejake
So if its not connected does that mean my cars leaking fuel? Low'n'slow's Ford escort leaks fuel, water, oil, brakefluid, clutch fluid and would leak windscreen washer fluid if he had any.He doen't bother with fuel line hose clips either and he hardly ever sets his car on fire so you might be OK
shizzl
is your car insured?if it is you might wanna get one on it quick smart... cos if it does go up in smoke they cant say that it was leaking fuel blah blah blah... nice car though
Manda
Yea got insurance the day i got it. But nothings going to happen to it anyway. Hes a good car Thanks for letting me know though. bubblegoose
cracked dash isnt that expensive to fix if you don't mind getting your hands dirtyshould have pictureized mine more fill the gaps with resin (or if you cheap like me, glue from a glue gun) then fibre glass the top, sand and cover. sorted I was quoted 700 from someone un aucks. Did yours come up looking like new? I had a quick look at your pics. is the first pic of the dash b4 or after? those pics are before, i haven't had it covered yet. the pictures don't shoe the damage, it had bowed quite badly and there was about 4 inches of shrinkage to be made up. its currently just in fiberglass waiting to get covered in black suede with coarse yellow stitching MMMMM! depends how anal you are about having a factory looking car, as you saw mine is far from factory
Manda
You covering it yourself?? Looking at getting the repaint done first now due to me finding water leaks in my car :S That black rubber hose is a breathing hose...I never knew my engine had to breathe...lol
Gaz
Think long black thing which is on your back seat is either from under the vents in the rear pillar, you put on from the inside.. Or, a peice from another car!
Unclejake
^ $10 says the heater doesn't get very warm I would also get Dad to check that there is a PCV valve in that vacuum hose that comes off the inlet manifold. It doesn't look like you have servo assisted brakes so I am guessing the vacuum line just goes into the block breather. If it does not have a PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation) then you have a vacuum leak into #1 cylinder which will be giving you tuning issues that you can't fix (rough running, starnge idle etc.) Also get him to check that the red clutch fluid line is anchored well away from the headers. It is common to loose your clutch when that plactic line gets melted by an aftermarket exhaust Nice car Manda. Well done
