Brock-Lee
Mate that is so sweet. I have wanted to do a vb/vc commodore wagon with rb30 for the last 6mnths or so. how hard is the conversion? It wants wide 15's with huge dish. Height would be perfect. respect
Guest
Someone show him that pic of that one everyone likes, you know the slammed Opel one with those wheels and stuff. Then do that.

V8Pete
Should put some ROH Reflexes on it. Na, looks awesome how it is esp. the weird red and silver.
Insani-T
The paint = perfect The wheels = almost perfect (just need to fill the gaurds more, perhaps see if you can get them widened or some shit). But serious dude, this is cool. I had dreams but I am a slack cunt, looking really good.
mikuni
Awesome man. I was stoked as to see some one has done this already and is on here. I remember seeing some back in the day aswell but not to such a nice example. I'm not a huge fan of keeping those existing wheels but I'm sure we can convince you around to a more Opel themed VB eventually
lowlancer
Nice! Dig it. I'll just echo the sentiments of Brad and say Opel the shit outta it. Coller than a Holden
Snoozin
Mean, has potential for days. The current wheels aren't so nice, but something small diameter and dished will easily solve that problem. I was looking at some widened 15" Commodore cop style steels on Trademe last night for $60 buy now.... Wide taxi/cop spec steels WILL look cool. I assume these ones still run a 5x120 stud pattern? Insani-T
Yep they do run the same stud pattern. Also please dont remove door handles, looks much better with them. Edit: And I see you are wanting to go black over silver, a cherry in the black or that coke colour over silver would also be so fucken sweet. Jase
widened pursuit steels would look good, black over silver is a bit stark for my liking but if you offset that with wheels it should balance out simmons if you can find/afford/borrow them are another option, 15s or 16s i reckon for sizing dont know if 14s go over the brakes or are very common in that stud pcd, mad props either way
mikuni
widened pursuit steels would look good This man speaks the truth. 15x9 and 15x10 please
Snoozin
There are widened ones on Trademe... $60 buy now. And they're quite huge.

mikuni
hard doit! they have a nice amount of rust too would clean up like those others with a sand blast and a paint http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 296989.htm only 3 though and dude in unkeens on shipping I'd buy them for my vectra if they would fit. lol
kyteler
I wouldn't go black on top dude, ruins the car IMO, a darker deep metallic red maybe but not black, will just look hamburgers. Slammed as fuck on some wide wheels and sliiiiiiiiiiiightly stretched tyres to fit inside the guards and bingo bitch, you're onto a winner! I Should really shop that stz, but I've been reluctant to shop anything after the success of the BDA commer drag car. I think I reached my peak there. Snoozin
Still, buying 3 @ $60 = millions cheaper than banding 3 wheels, all ya gotta do is band an 4th to the same width and mean! A set of sweet wide Commondore rims.
Mr.Mk1
Sweet commy, for a commy! Yea, '81 is definatly oldschool. Keen to see it turb'd up.
CUL8R
Agree with Ky, also pursuit steels would be better than standards.. Quite liking idea and approach so far , lets hope it doesnt turn out Matty B with Eagers
Jase
it's painted already though so just offset it with wheels or red tints rofl
