kdotlowe
Did I see this on a trailer heading northbound on the motorway around Manukau on Sunday? If so looks bloody choice!!
peteretep
yes you would have, cheers you dont happen to know anything about escorts with kent motors breaking the headers at number 4 cylinder do you? The new pacemaker headers I have cracked after 10 minutes of racing around taupo, just after I had spent $250 on getting them heat treated! Truenotch
D had that problem all the time with his MkII I think... You running a flexi? Sweet car to drive by the way! It made me feel like I was in a brand new works escort in 1973.
Beaver
I went through 3 sets when I had my cortina (2 cracked on the No. 4, one blew out at the collector), was told that a flexi at the bottom and a brace from the number 4 runner to the block/bellhousing works a charm. Hey Pete, my old Mk2 would break the 4th all the time. mine didnt have a mount to the gearbox to start with, so i added one. then it broke again. I fixed it by making a mount that bolts to the bell housing.

peteretep
My motor would be better than that one, and it only cost half the price you'd think they could have at least finished the headers in stainless to the flange
sentra
having no idea on the value of escort engine stuff is there any way you could buy it replace header with yours and sell for the same? edit - and by that i mean tell yourself thats what you are going to do, then just keep it anyway
peteretep
Haha that could work, alternatively you can buy really flash stainless headers for about $650 delivered from the uk which Is a viable option
