  1. In case you were worried, this is no longer on jacks. It also has new carpet from Oz, nolathane rear bushes for the leaves, courtesy of someone on here, sorry, forgot who sent me those, a complete interior, a near functional gauge cluster, (either an issue with the sender or fuel gauge) and does some mean gravel skids but not much on actual tarmac. I move it in and out of the shed at while. Needs a proper alignment and me to grow the balls to take it for a wof; just nervous on what it could fail on. good layer of dust on it too.
  2. I started doing stuff on this every now and then, there's a lot of work, and I've never done this sorta stuff, but if figured I'd be a mega-pussy if i didn't at least try. So I started on the bits no one will see - under the guards first. Hid all the shit welds and crap folding under tons of POR. Then decided to patch the aerial in a new guard someone oldschool freighted me a couple of years back. It's B&W for mega art. Bog hides all. Next on the list. Got bored last night and needed the seat out for accessing the rust in the pillars. Had some sound matting floating around. Somewhere along the line, came across this thread, got me more motivated and basically treating it as a how to http://www.xfalcon.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27468-xe-s-pack-ute/ So yeah, not bad for a year. /fucking useless.
  3. want another e36 for parts? reg, wof out by a few days. cbf fixing exterior door handle and whatever the bmw wof-fail-lottery decides to pop up.
  4. you're a man of many surprises young Dane. Have you told your folks yet. They say that's the hardest part.
  5. and, luckily he has a lot of cars for parts, because the e36 needs a lot of parts.
  6. ignore that, the rest of the thread loaded after i posted.
  7. I gave away the autodec carpet I bought. utter shit. For not much more you might be able to get stuff for your car (not sure what it is?) from here: http://www.knoxautocarpets.com.au/ well worth it Mongoose stuff seems to work well. good price, easy to deal with.
  8. Is it just the black gluegunk holding it in and no rubber? Is there trim that holds it in place? This is interesting. "If you have a ’90 or earlier 240, and you need to replace your windshield, ask the glass shop to install a ’91-’93 type windshield. It will actually be easier for them. If the shop is hesitant, they are probably not very sure about what they are doing. I called around until I found a shop that was willing to do it – they were actually very happy to learn that this works. The earlier windshields have the molding held by plastic clips that have to be inserted between the windshield and the body when the windshield is installed. With time these clips break, and the molding becomes loose in places. The newer type windshield just has a flat plastic molding that is better looking, is flusher with the body, and therefore produces less windnoise."
  9. I'm gonna show this thread to my 12 year old. Can you add a few words of career advice for him too please.
  10. Is there another thread with time and date or is it yet to be defined? I may have a running automobile soon, just have to figure out if gas gauge is fugged and I ran out of gas, or if new fuel pump is bung. fuck i suck at cars.
  11. I am bidding on this; the tape deck is essential for one of my shitters.
  12. Aye. And a frost plug. Been parked up a while. Have the parts just need some time.
  13. barra in theory slots in in front of ea/b trans wouldn't it? Hmmm. Replace head gasket or replace with Barra. If only i had more moneys for inevitable spiral of cost
  14. Complaining about cops is up there with complaining about certifiers. Hopefully they introduce some legislation to keep fuckwits in tinted pedovans and the RB Army out of town too. Wow, I'm an old man now.
  15. In theory I should scab off work friday morning and get a warrant and head down early Saturday. In reality...
  16. I got given an old billboard canvas today. Whack it up on the side of a shed. Projector. Win. Dunno how you'd do sound though without pissing off the neighbours Bluetooth chain some UE Booms? Probably fit about a good dozen cars in the yard at my shed. Maybe more. Dunno if screen would go high enough. Low cars at the front.
  17. Must be pump season. I've been trying to sort a stalling issue and replaced and inspected my pump to find the spring in two pieces. Not the whole problem, but not helping. Have you got any regulator on the mechanical pump, is it just straight to carb now?
  18. If your into Austin Atlantic parts I think your whole life is probably a real downer /I just googled them, they're kinda styling, but the joke is worth it.
  19. Anyone know what sorta stuff shows up at the swapmeet? I suspect it's leather flatcaps, pipes and old english car parts weighted?
  20. quite like your washer pump blanking. mine packed it in at some point and someone installed a supplementary one. may steal your blanking plate idea.
  21. there's a holden that's near identical cruising around Pt Chev/Grey Lynn these days , but big wheels and the guy doesn't now if he has gilmer belts on it or not.
