Simpson beat me to it, but Im sure 50/50 Acetone and ATF is the go to, then working what movement you can day by day. Rather than trying to force it

I would recommend he re-taps all the hubs, plenty of cutting fluid as you go and a new set of wheel bolts. More often than not with the wheel bolts you'll ruin the bolts before the hubs 99% of time at work fixing said issues from similar stories will fix, and torque to spec

GAZ Shocks in the UK used to do custom ones if I remember correctly, and there was a agent in Auckland I want to say Zep used them?

I think from memory, Windom, Camry and the weird import Avalon. If I remember the larger capacity is in the Highlanders of same period and maybe Prado? I always thought the 2mzfe was a pretty cool motor 15 years ago, but newer stuff surpasses it now

^ That one stopped outside work maybe 1-2 months ago Im pretty sure, I think in the right light I swear I could see a intercooler. Looked pretty good in person, I was winding one of the workers up telling them it was their next job - as they were shaking their heads in disgust

If you get stuck I have a muncie rebuild how to with from memory a section on the Hurst Shifter. (in saying that on youtube there is lots of videos) But basically I would polish up the plates and lightly grease. Have the linkage bushings tight (or if you really want to splurge get spherical rod ends) , and once you know the throw from the lever itself, the hurst housing should have some threaded holes - for a nut/bolt to be wound in as stops - that way you can smash gears as hard as you like against the stops without over throwing the selectors

Mate that blows absolutely, you know where I am if there's anything I can help with

Do these have build/id plates on the LF lower windscreen area ontop of the edge of the dash where it meets the screen? (like on Chevys?) Thats the actual american Vin rather than the NZ alloy type one.
