Jeez Neal, how many vehicles in your fleet does that make? Its a good looking wag tho.

Umm...

I think I'm up to four old automobiles now. None of them are tidy though. Or even presentable haha.

your wallet must be getting light mate! nice wog spec wagz tho!

'Twas cheap Mate.

But I still felt it right in the old wallet. Y'know as we cruised around in it for the first time doing about ten miles an hour, Ben turned to me and commented on how much it looked like we were a bunch of  heavies about to go and crack some skulls! It's a sinister wagon with that angry exhaust note.

Okay so first question.

Please excuse my lack of Valiant knowledge.

Are sedan rear door cards (and doors even) on VH onwards Valiants the sme on Wagons and sedans?

Or are wagon doors and doorcards unique?

My doorcards have massive holes cut in them for speakers. I've tracked down a few sets of door cards in better condition but they're all for sedans.

Oh for sure.

I just stumbled upon these doorcards and thought they'd be good for the future.

Yes, Tui Teka on the Am radio/cassette will be mandatory.

I still remember rolling out of the Burgerfuel meet six up in your Torino with Tui Teka's magical voice wafting from the car as we cruised past.

Shall I put up a picture of our 'panelbeating'? Hahaha.

Pained me that I couldn't grab this...nothing makes me want to give up inner city lyfe living and buy a patch of gravel in Kawerau like these sorts of deals popping up. I'll have made it when its just me and my deckchair and a pack of diesels watching my cars rust into the ground.

Car looks meeeen. Hustlers definitely not my thing but rugged as. And of course semi hemi yo. Bet you been telling everyone you've got a hemi.

Funny how the Australians feel about valiants with the whole wog chariot carry-on, bottom of the pile for some reason, when really they're the closest thing to 'american muscle' I'll ever be able to afford.

I told one person that I have a Hemi.

That person was female and thought I said I had a semi. Was pretty awkward puhuhuhu.

Australia made some great (yet terrible) cars, but I don't really care about their taste in cars retrospectively. I'm glad that Vals are generally regarded in New Zealand as cars that the cuzzies etc use to roll back in the day. Had a great chat with a Maori fella the other day and he pulled out pictures of the one his father bought brand new in '72.

Wish I had more workshop space like you have there

By the time I park a bulldozer ,6 wheeler 2 diggers and a 19410gmc 6x6 in the workshop my holdens have to live in the garage under the house

Phwoar that's an impressive workshop lineup you have there!

The shed that the Valiant and other cars stay in belongs to Ben (Zebra Dude). I owe him big time and he's the GC of GCs.

He has some very interesting projects on the go too but I'll leave that up to him to reveal when he creates a build thread for his shed projects.

What sort of Holdens have you got?

This thread makes me want to work on my Val. (I literally just mowed around it again)

Do it.

I agree about Valiant's panache. I definitely find the VH to be far better appointed as a 70s cruiser than both the ford and Holden offerings of the same era. They feel very special to drive too, not in a tangible way but it's just a feeling you get. You know what I mean.
