  1. so after all of this did you play around with end of injector timming at all
  2. im using 1000cc out boards and 650cc inboards both sets are running different end of injection timing and im at 75psi ,motor idles at 950 rpm out boards are dribbling on idle .my whole set up is blended in from idle up to 9200 rpm on the 2 litre .at 100 percent throttle its 95 percent out boards and 5 percent inboards .injectors are out board is a single pintle so cone type, and inboard is a similar to the 7mgte types my inboards are from end of injection timing 185 to 95 up at 9200 the outboards are from 340 to 230 at 9200
  3. so your last test was with out the air box ,so you need a box as big as will fit, plus enough air going into so its the same as no air box ,thats what i would like to see
  4. now you need too try 6 inch hole into your airbox
  5. in the pic you can see the map sensor hose and air temp
  6. its a pity you cant move them back another 230mm away from the std spot like this here
  7. you can cheat ,how many injectors are you using at the moment
  8. and here these are fixed but gives you a idea
  9. also have a look at the superbikes ram tube set ups a ramtube in a ram tube
  10. ok fair enough, i use to use a 100mm dia tube going into my air box at the race track ,we put the map sensor into the side to check the air volume so at idle etc was on 100 at 50 percent throttle was 95 at 100 percent throttle is went down to 80 ,i then put a 6inch hole into my air box and the map sensor stays at 100 from idle all the way to 9200 redline
  11. kpr was your air intake running in colder air also were you using your map inside to see if it was holding the air back from entering your new air box on ram tubes i try to have then 60mm away from any part of the air box lid
  12. yeah 4 inch is 2 small .yowzer with colder air temps going in more fuel and ign timming gave more hp
  13. yeah i picked up more power and torque
  14. this iis what it looks like at the moment
  15. this is the both sides of the box
  16. im using my map and air temp inside the air box ,but i also dropped 20c in air temp as my intake is in front of the radiator ,so on 25 degree days it sits at about 20c coming in past the air temp , before the airbox radiant heat was up to 40 c going past the air inlet
  17. oh ok fine then ,i tried 48mm quad 50 mm quads and 52mm quads on my 2 litre beams and the 50mm were the best after 7600 rpm ,mine redlines at 9200 where max hp is
  18. my air box is 12litres in volume and im using 150mm dia piping going in with a big K&N filter and 2 stage inside
  19. im talking about midrange power that pulls you out of the corner ,what size exhaust are you running as well
  20. ok so if your car was a race car and was at tight race tracks the 47mm throttles would be faster coming out of the corners and in lap times as well
  21. kpr you said you went from toyota throttles up to 52mm did you notice your torque dropped at all ,also do you think you have lost airspeed by going up to a bigger throttle as well
  22. its always good to read what others are doing ,my 3sge is trd inlet, 50mm throttle taper out to 52mm. 2stage is 52mm out to 55mm and ram tube is 55mm out to 65mm with 8 injectors ,the other 4 are 230mm further away than the inboards ,i still get some misting or stand off at about 7000 and also i use to lean 1 cyl out in 500rpm range .i tune every cyl now from idle to redline with my big air box on ...the biggest difference on using inboards only or out boards only is about more torque and more hp ,about 12kws across the rev range higher than just inboards
  23. w58 box and 3s bellhousing and y ou will have heaps of room
