Kiwibirdman
I am planning to build a box to house a 10in sub and a couple of 6x9 speakers that can go into the luggage area of my EJ Holden wagon. I want to be able to remove the box easily if I ever need to take a lot of junk. Does anyone have a good idea of a 6way plug that I could use. I did think of a trailer plug, but there must be something a bit less agricultural.
crash
These are pretty good, they come in male / female and panel mount too. Might be a bit bulky and agricultural for what you want though. Have a look at RS Components too, heaps of options there.
datlow
Anderson plug would work maybe a 4 way small for speakers 2 way bigger one for sub https://www.jaycar.co.nz/4-way-shell-for-15a-anderson-connector-with-latch/p/PT4436 (Can’t actually see what this one plugs into unless it’s both M&F) https://www.jaycar.co.nz/anderson-sb50-power-connector-50a-6-gauge-contacts/p/PT4420 They have panel mounts for them too

Will be using the second jaycar link for the amp power (i bought off amazon, 2 sets of M & F and they come with covers, which would be necessary for power. thinking of using either 1st jaycar link, speakon or deutsch for speaker wires and amp remote on. Bling
Speakers should be easy as not much power, something like this? For that factory look. https://www.jaycar.co.nz/automotive-4-way-plugsocket-250-series/p/PP2066 This could be ideal to cover all 6 wires though. Just plug in as needed, lol /jokes! 1
vk327
speaker signals something like this DT panel moutn socket ? good fro multiple disconnect cycles https://msel.co.nz/deutsch-dt-8-way-bulk-head-receptacle-kit-with-solid-pins/ sub wires small 50a andersen plug or use the larger deutsch DTP connector https://msel.co.nz/deutsch-dtp-4-way-bulk-head-receptacle-kit-with-solid-pins/
Kiwibirdman
Thanks guys some good ideas. Reality is that the speaker box will probably never get taken out, I want to have the option.
Bling
Could just go with normal speaker box connections then? Nice and tidy and not bad time wise for connecting. You'll spend more time clutching your back after lifting the sub box out. I assume they would be fine with car vibrations. Sub (haven't checked rating specs), they tend to have holes in the studs so you can fire a bare wire in and tighten it up. Can't see in this photo if the case or not. https://www.jaycar.co.nz/speaker-box-terminals-with-banana-sockets/p/PT3006 6x9's https://www.jaycar.co.nz/2-way-push-connection-speaker-terminals/p/PT3000 or https://www.jaycar.co.nz/4-way-push-connection-speaker-terminal/p/PT3002
Stu
Pretty agricultural but what about one of those trailer plugs that has the anderson plug inbuilt?

Works perfect
