You can easily make that cone, do you need steel?

Was going to grab an off cut of 1.2mm cold rolled from a local engineering workshop and give it a bash.

I don't have rollers or anything, so plan is to attempt to hammer it around a piece of round bar until it's either a cone or I give up and try the sheet metal shop lol

It's the 18 to 19mm id tube for the stinger that's proving to be a cunt to find!

Finally found a use for an imperial socket!

Measured up the length I needed and figured 65mm was the go so chopped it, then chopped the front off the expansion chamber so the outside diameters matched up, kinda didn't account for the 15-20mm I needed to take off that though, fuck.

*Can get them a bit closer, but thats with the pipe where it doesn't foul the engine/brake pedal/foot peg and the mount bracket is in a good spot.

Might have to give it a bit of a tap with a ball hammer to give a touch of clearance to the brake pedal pivot.

So yeah, 2 steps closer, 1 step back.

Can you make it so muffler attaches via springs or something so you can remove it when you want to be super rowdy?

Bit chunky, I'd spec'd 2mm plate but they got cut from 3.2, but having it in the steel has shown a few small changes I'd like to make to the shape, so will grab some 2mm plate tomorrow and try again.

Am pretty happy with the way it's going though, should be a more than solid mount!

Scrounged up some 2mm plate on Friday and started again, changed the shape of the mount a bit to make it a bit more compact etc

Still a fair bit of trimming and bending to go.

Got there though!

Only about 20mm or so of bending needed.

And that brings us to today

So much fucking around with the timing, think I've found where the flywheel wants to be, but shit I'm unsure about running this!

Have got a couple more donor flywheels, but no lathe to get them sorted.

*I didn't drill any of those holes, and it's done 14,000rpm with 3 bolts in the past, but yeah fuck that letting go wouldn't be fun ha

I've got a lathe you're welcome to use it if that helps?

Cheers man!

Might see if I can sort it out a bit closer to home first, but will keep in mind for sure!
