Adoom
timelapse video please Best I can do. This is where it stopped the second time. The engine starting "hunting" and then stopped. I pulled the pipe off the pump and cranked the engine, pump seems to work... I pulled the fuel pump apart and the diaphragms looked okay... So I put it back together and it would run kind of okay, but I had to have the choke out all the way. And the engine was "hunting". It would just die if I put the choke in. I suspect some dirt in the fuel line/carb. I did replace some fuel hose, but just blew out the inline mesh filter with compressed air instead of replacing it. I'll get a new filter.
Adoom
I made a bonnet, to try cut down some noise, or at least reflect it towards the ground. I made it from rimu. LOL. The awesome finish is from the flap disc on the grinder. And on concrete, it cuts down almost, possibly, absolutely NO noise at all. WINNING!
thegreatestben
Nice. My one is VERY loud. It all does a bangin' key off about 5 secs after I kill the engine.

Adoom
Mine shuts off nicely, if I believe the hour meter, it's done about 710 hours.

thegreatestben
I finally got my a into g and put the deck back on after sharpening up the blades, tracking down a missing link and spring that connects the brakes.. Got about 5 mins into the job then found it kept dying when I had the deck down and put it into reverse. Noticed a bit wiring running to switch on the selector. Maybe I'm not supposed to mow in reverse? fuck you switch you get unplugged. another 5 mins and 1st drive belt goes ping. Fucker. Didn't look great when I bought it and pretty sure more smoke was coming from belt than engine. (which is none cos it's ace. thanks Guypie.) HighLUX
Yeah murica trick is no mowing in reverse because muricans are stupid. Some have an override button to push before selecting reverse with the blades spinning
ajg193
Just a warning about having the nut/threaded portion of the bolt on the underside of the deck is that you will need to use a grinder to remove it in the future if you want to do any maintenance.
