P_Star
Super minor update, some cutty cutty bendy weldy will likely happen next weekend, in the meantime I got some replacement wheels to replace the rusted out hulks that were on there... they even fit/work. P_Star
pictureless update. Figured I would take advantage of the sun and see if I couldn't get the engine to wind over... long story short, I couldn't... seems the starter is complete toast... neato! Why do I feel like this may be a continuing story lol... I should probably bite the bullet and buy a whole engine to be safe but that sorta defeats the purpose... also so few funds :/ Anyone have a starter motor for a 1200cc beetle laying about for cheap? P_Star
yeah, not super convenient and will likely be using it solo most frequently. Also need to get engine running/tuned... bit of a pain standing in there steering with my foot leaning over trying to get timing set etc while hooning round the back streets of Hendo tied to another car lol
