ilikefire123
Yeah man no worries, Just trying to find some cheap tyres to suit, these just popped up and even with shipping I think its a good deal http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=530149324
Mr.Mk1
Although they are dynamics, they are cheap!
RUNAMUCK
All these sweet mopars popping up makes me feel even more useless for not having has mine on the road yet. CM's are pretty sweet.
Steelies
choice val! yeah run the dishy/narrow wheels on the rear, others on the front. see cars every now and again with widened rims on the back and same tires all round.. stretches the rear tire more and makes it look like you put skinnies on the back and fats on the front, even with the added dish at rear. i love those steels, such a rad design and they look wide, even in stock form. kyteler
I would try them on the car first and see how they fit. My preference is always dish at the back but that's because a lot of old cars have staggered offsets regardless/more room in the rear arches both ways. cletus
check when you put the front ones on that they dont rub the tie rod ends, from memory they are pretty close and if the wheels have been wided inwards, you may have issues. should look sweet though! looks tidy. danger
Yeah you'll probably need spacers on the front.
ilikefire123
They came off a vh valiant so they should be sweet but wil trial fit them today.
rwd_mayhem
Very nice Val man, I'm still so confused as to why someone would get the wheels widened that way though.
RUNAMUCK
The rusty Plenium floor is the HIV, and in some cases the ful blown AIDS for the mighty and venerable Valiant. I megt a bloke with an E49 that went good, but could have easily benifited from a $20K bare metal resto. The owner covered the heater intake with wide black insulation tape during winter. (The heater cowl was black anyway, having the R/T warpaint))
ilikefire123
yeah its beyond my level of rust removal skills, Im unsure what I will do here, aprently there is a guy in christchurch named carl that is good at this repair. Im just trying to track him down,

ilikefire123
Thanks for that guys, im getting there, just sorting out the best plan of attack. another question for the valiant gurus out there, I want to convert to floor change manual using factory valiant gears, I have a 3 speed from my VH thats in good nick. To convert my CM to manual can I use the existing CM drive shaft?
cletus
yep shaft is the same
1ton
Thats a fine piece of Mopar mate, will be wicked to see all our Vals cruising together.
ilikefire123
Hey guys Im doing the conversion but ive hit a hiccup, ive cut the whole in the tunnel for the lever to come out but part of the base of the lever doesnt come through which means I need to make the whole bigger in order for the lever to come through properly which means I now won't be able to use an original gear lever boot, does anyone know if you can get aftermarket gear shifter boots that are bigger? and where from?
