MK2 Escort Adjusties ( advice please )

Just after some help choosing my front coil-overs

These are going for $1000 or $1350 with adjustable gas inserts

(was thinking 300/70 for up the front)

Heres some info and a pic of them, cheers

Escort Mk2:

* Professionally converted to 2.25, they have been further up-rated to Group 4 Spec, with wedged Stub axles for extra strength.

* Brand new 2¼ inch springs.

* Brand new heavy duty KYB gas inserts or Gaz adjustable inserts.

To be honest I don't think that is a bad price IMO.

I converted some Mk1 Capri struts to coilovers using George Stock components c/w adjustable camber plates, adjustable gas inserts etc and that came to just under $1k by the time they were finished.

I welded gussets in after the photo was taken - essential if you are doing any track work with decent tyres

Fast Street car right now. Main reason i want to upgrade the suspension is to handle the new power the car is going to have.

So whatever is going to be safe i guess.

Wouldn't mind taking to the track now and then

....then looking way down the track when i'm older i'll set it up for classic rally

Haven't made up my mind yet.. I asked the guy a few questions & didn't get back to me.

Thinking of just upgrading shocks to a set of Bilstein tarmac (300/70) unsure whether to get Long or Short though. Also springs to suit.

get hold of chris alexander at suspensiontech. done plenty of mods for race and rally Escorts. Stech.co.nz ??

Really wouldnt waste the money dude unless your at the track every weekend or rallying hard.

Dont need it on a street escort....
