  1. Looking good. Patience and lots of bull dog clips to hold material around frames
  2. Nah not so much unfortunately, just the occasional club event.
  3. Looking way to clean to return to the gravel! Good work.
  4. Not all Mustangs are bad - just the ones made after '72
  5. Last time out at Hamptons resulted in an unrepairable crack in head (Water jacket to oil gallery behind Cylinder 4 - fark!..) Decision time. Source another second hand head, spend $$$ on crack testing, machining for big valves, porting etc just for it to happen again being 40+ years old or bite the bullet a get one of these from Burtons Still heaps of $$$ to spend on machining but .... Any thoughts people?
  6. Kinda hoping that LVVTA will have a change of heart (heard some whispers about case by case basis) but I'm not holding my breath. Not to worried about making it road legal yet as the mustang is a bit more family friendly... By the way, your Mk1 looks awesome - get it finished!
  7. Can't get my car certified for this reason. Spoken to Clint and Mark about it and LVVTA are adamant it's a no go even if completed by certified welders. Been involved with circuit/rally escorts for years and I've never seen a stub fail
  8. Nice.... Looks really clean and original. Great to see another '68 on oldschool.
  9. Slowly getting this thing sorted. Goes around corners now without falling over.... New complete bottom arms with hd bushes. New drop links. New tyres (not on photo) and a decent alignment
  10. Slowly progressing with the tidy up. Interior looks way better with new dashpad, instrument cluster etc. A rust repair below battery tray, apron and partially into chassis rail. Starting on dodgy suspension now. As mentioned, most of the bushes are toast - who knows how it got a WOF last time... What's the go with these sway bar links? Should be vertical when the suspension is loaded but mine are sitting back at approx 10 degs. I'm assuming because the springs are -1" that the geometry is wrong. Maybe longer links are the go?
  11. Did you end up going to Homewoods for your dyno?. (I guess not as they do supply a printout) Sounds like very similar hp ratings to mine. Good luck tomorrow.
  12. Bad luck with the rim. Watched you racing on Saturday - Car looks really stable and you seemed to be able to brake later than most
  13. Finally a successful day at Hampton - managed to drive back on the trailer after 3 races. Lap time down to 1:28.6 but still lacking a bit of talent around turn 1 and 5?. Some GoPro footage to come.
  14. Keen. Need to get the trailer queen out of the shed as missed last 2 rounds of classic trials.
  15. Thanks for the info on Jegs - will check them out. Definitely staying with the 12 slots. What do you mean?
  16. Yeah not sure the escort will be getting certified anytime soon now... The mustang is all legal and (semi) roadworthy but not sure how the last owner got a wof. Suspension bushes and steering arm bushes are all toast. Haven't taken too many photos yet but my wife was playing with her camera the other night.
  17. A long term project but damn it sounds good....
  18. Bought this recently as a bit of a cruiser. Genuine matching number GT built in San Jose January '68. 302 with C4. Interior needs a lot of work but CJ Pony parts in the states are awesome. Picture makes it look better than it really is as it hasn't been looked after the last few years.
