  1. is there an 'off the shelf' pulley the correct diameter, then it would be a case of spinning up an adapter
  2. pics or ban !! had a shitty month of August with all the rain we had down here, so cash ain't to flash ATM. would have been up there otherwise, less Imp, as it ain't done !!
  3. extra earth on the head.
  4. extra earth on the head. had same issue when fitting rebuilt motor in club/rally car.
  5. TWL do a heavy duty 'cotton reel' mount like the one pictured above. various sizing available.
  6. get hold of BZBling on here. has a box of pullers and stuff that i bought from trade me, but havn't picked up yet. there should be one or 2 in the package
  7. hey man good times to be had there. is that the Ex-Gerrard rally car?? have you sold the rally suspension?
  8. get hold of chris alexander at suspensiontech. done plenty of mods for race and rally Escorts. Stech.co.nz ??
  9. you need the crank from a 3T/gte and the pistons and turbo from a 3TGTE. the motor will then be an 1800 Twin Cam Turbo but without the stupid twinspark
  10. http://www.autosport.org.nz/1-september ... y-rally/#1 Sept - Canterbury Rally 2012 http://www.autosport.org.nz/assets/Uplo ... 12-Map.pdf don't know full details, poverty has confined me to timing cars, instead of being timed.
  11. canterbury Rally on this weekend, if you guys felt the urge to burn some fuel and head out to Goon.
  12. rebuild the 186 into mental Bathurst spec
  13. you forgot the strategic placement of tyres, man.
  14. 55-57 holden ute. no body tag but what appears to be original number plates to those that claim "but it isn't on Carjam", don't fret, carjam only work if the car was still registered after early to mid-nineties. so if the car was de-reg before then, it most probably isn't in their system.
  15. jeez, your lucky. one of my projects still has original plates, but no-one at VTNZ can find record of the vehicle, and it was de-regged in mid-80's. unless someone knows of another way of tracing it, it will have to be re-vinned as scratch built, thus losing classic rego.
  16. ok, Joe might of fucked up there. the cam had been changed which changed the firing order to the opposite of what we deduced it was. definately 289, though
  17. change the firing order to Windsor specs ?? mate had a 289 and set it to Cleveland firing order, run like a dog. changed it to windsor and it started running much better (wasn't just the firing order in this instance, but it did help)
  18. are you using correct sender unit? maybe need to check earth connect to head of engine??
  19. other way around, isn't it? 4ag pressure plate clamping onto K50 clutch plate?
  20. my 5L hilux with 300k on it has it's own sevice interval timer, oil gets thin at 4500km and starts to get a cold start knock. quiet as a mouse with fresh oil in it.
  21. i'm thinking your oil is the issue, unless the engine has had a recent full rebuild. too thin a grade in your oil will not take up the wear in bearings as quick as a slightly thicker brew, maybe try HX7K next service??
  22. does the ruling still apply that if the cage extends foward of the B pillar fixed seats and harnesses must be used?? i merely pointed out, that as a former scrutineer, i wouldn't touch a non-homologated cage unless i knew the fabricator............ too many pitfalls
  23. the main reason for the homologation question. personally wouldn't waste my time with a non-homologated cage, unless i knew the fabricator. too many pitfalls, and i used to be MSNZ Scrutineer.
