EURON8
There are snifterisher colours out there though.
Chickity
It is pretty sniftery. Wanted an actual colour, rather than some variation on beige or grey. Went with a green that has a grey undertone and the same depth of colour I'd have gone with had we chosen grey. Purposely avoided greens with yellow tones. So the overall result should be minty fresh, tempered by the white and charcoal of the windows/soffit/fascia/roof and baseboards.

P_Star
Our houses are now twinsies well.. mine is basically dirt coloured with green paint underneath somewhere haha, I should get a fellow to come clean it really
Chickity
Pft. A fellow to come clean it. Get one of those spray bottles of cleaning solution that attaches to your hose. It'll take you half a day with one of those and a telescopic cleaning brushythingy that also attaches to the hose.

Chickity
So I came home to this yesterday, (Scuse terrible pic, not much room/light in hallway) Extremely awkward view of what used to be the hall cupboard and the back of the spare room wardrobe. Hopefully by the end of the week, said wardrobe will be the new doorway. Depending on how quickly placies get our doors in and Lee sends the new hardware, we could have a functioning room entrance pretty soon! Then it's a case of moving the cupboard slightly to make the space on the left of it an appropriate wardrobe size and re-gibbing everything. Proooooooogress!
Chickity
Yet another crappy photo. This is what the hallway looked like on Friday. It looks even better now and is ready for lining. Such progress.
EURON8
It's really hard to get a photo of the new arrangement in the hall way. You can see the 2 doorways down by the broom. One is the new enterance to that room. The other is the hall closet which has been moved 500 odd to the side. The opening in the front there is now filled in and the framing has been cut out of the bedroom side wall so that brush and shovel is now in the bedroom wardrobe. Chickity
UPDATEITY! Chris has been super busy. Best Chris ever. Hallway all re lined! (On this side, anyway. Inside the room is still nakey...) Three doors all lined up in a row at the end there. Perfect. So orderly. I got all enthusiastic post dinner tonight and we did this. View from the front door before View from the front door after New view from the back door, will be even better when we get rid of the wall entirely, and the one to the left. All the open plans!
Chickity
We also got a delivery from Napier yesterday. Fancy electronic front door lock. And new hardware for all the new doors. So shiny and delightful.
Chickity
This past weekend effort! Paint painty paint. So fresh and minty! Have since removed the stones and remnants of old plants etc in the wee garden along the front there. Need to dig it down a little bit more and remove the baseboard in preparation for installing the board skirting and the dwarf maples that I've purchased to add some interest to the giant blank wall that is the front of the house. Just the soffit and fascia left to paint, then it'll look all pretty from the street and I won't cringe when pulling into the driveway each night... All the visible from the street faces are done now.
