EURON8
Nah all 2m max but we have the technology to keep them trimmed back. Already have a developing hedge which i tend.
Chickity
Tallest is actually expected to get to 3m, but yeah all dwarf breed Japanese maples. Leaves will fall off in the wintertime, so won't make house all manky, and won't get big enough to fuck with the soffit. Just add some interest/colour to an otherwise big empty expanse of wall. kyteler
Root structure not likely to cause issue?
EURON8
Prob not. Other larger trees that were close to house before didn't cause issues.
Chickity
Oh. Just realised we totally ignored the other question. Doing it up with view to stay here for another decent chunk of time. If we were looking to sell straight away on itd be a completely different style of reno - more along the lines of what Alistair is doing. And we sure wouldn't be forking out for mega shed.
Bling
Sweet, just wondered really. Can't wait to see mega shed take shape!
Chickity
...we painted it aqua (the outside) because the primer colour presented an option not previously considered, but kinda fabulous... Handle all installed! Even works. Flash!

pusherman
Light stands out now. Lets recess a led in there for max churs
Chickity
Had not considered a recessed light. Best idea ever! Chris constantly hit his head on the old one, was gonna put a low profile round bulkhead type thing up. Â Also need to get one up on the inside of the door asap, the switch from glass to solid has greatly affected the light in the entrance way... Â Lemme know when you might be free for some electrical wizardry. Bebe must be just about here now?

thegreatestben
Colour scheme is very tropical. I'm going with more classical colour scheme. I've got a couple of old as porch lights, the large opalescent sphere with chrome bases. Look really nice, have a ivory sort of colour one that is a bit more classic but using ultra white ones that look more modern.
Chickity
Unintentionally tropical (the door is the only really tropical element tbh). What colours are you using?
thegreatestben
Neutral colours but with nice white accents on doors/frames etc. World's smallest mansion is the theme that comes to mind haha
Chickity
Chris did some more bashing of walls over the weekend. Previous view from front door. New view from front door, into the laundry that will shortly be half pantry and half part of the new bathroom. The window, which is going because there's a wall going though the middle of it, is papered over so the neighbours can't see right through our house.
