RT
Does anyone know where I can get a new Rubber Steering Coupling (10mm) for my capri? Should be the same as Escort. Don't want a Urethane one. They melt next to V8s. chur
Beaver
Enfords could be worth a shot?
sholdowa
I've probably got an old one here if it's any use. Alternatively I've got a gp.4 one if you want to replace it?
Chrome_GT
Yeah I'm on my 2nd urethane one - the holes ended up oval which caused the steering to slip and graunch when tight turns at low speeds (ie parking). Could be due to proximity to the pipes. Only replaced it with another urethane cos it was convenient. Not sure where you could get rubber ones

The old one wouldn't be much use unless it was in better cond than mine. Mine is ok, but it looks pretty old and I'd like to replace it whilst the engine is out. What is the gp.4 one? If it's new and it's rubber I'm keen!
Raizer
What is the gp.4 one? Gp4 is what you want!

Chrome_GT
If they are the same as the escort ones then contact palmside automotive - hoonhay
RT
Already tried Palmside and they don't sell the rubber ones. Doesn't look like much isolation going on in those Gp4 ones? Is that just a solid connection?

Yammies
I was talking to someone the other day about this and they mentioned a triumph universal fits escort columns... can anyone back this up? (i'm not sure which model triumph btw)
RT
not sure how the coupling is fitted to the column end. The factory column as a t-section where it mounts to the rubber isolator, you must have to cut that off or something?

RT
I see.. that isn't going to work then. Capri ones are a single piece Enfords do a new rubber coupling kit I'll just do that I think
