toyota hemi 4v would be a great motor. Being all alloy would shine up well too.

So would the Daimler, but minus the SU carbs :P.

Personally, I think a v8 made from two 4age's (silver tops) would a great project.

But, if it was me, I'd just buy a 289 or 350. perhaps a 302 or 351. So many parts available, engines come up cheap all the time, dress up parts are easy to find and cheap.

Dont get me wrong, I love 1uz-fe's and toyota engines in general, but a dirty ole v8 is the only way to go in a hot rod like that.

But .. if your looking for kinky

- but, I would install EFI, and injectors, and use a aftermarket ecu on it. but, .. I'm that kinda guy :pirate:

^ there were two types of V4 ford, one sucked, one was quite rad. Foget which was which, but one was german, one was essex.

I like the idea of the diesel or the pontiac motor, but for cheapness and rad power/lightweight and easiness of parts and finding one.

There is only one answer...

Rover V8

Now it has been said you can all go about your business in anticipation of a Austin Seven pick up with a rover V8

that will be all

I think with a _really_ low budget, a 202 and trimatic would be my choice. a 2.3 v6 tina motor doesnt have that .. look, that .. style. a 202 with a rusty chrome air filter would.

OR

or, you could use 8 trained and harnessed children with oddly flat heads mounted inbetween the chassis rains where the american steel should be in cardboard tubes so you can call it a 8 cylinder flathead.

I bet if you whip them they would go faster. Just Sayin.
