johnnyfive
8 or 9 volts doesn't sound ideal TBH. Did you check for voltage across the pins of the bulb?
Mitch.W
nah they have the correct bulbs in them ive checked that. yeah that what i was thinking? should it be 12v???? yeah i did still the same
BlownCorona
Its highly likely you just need to sand the terminals, or sometimes on my car, there is a plug inside the bumper that sometimes comes undone. if worst comes to worst its not hard to power them off the tail light loom or something. mikuni
The fittings may be poorly earthed, check that.

Valiant
8-9 volts is wrong. Also the tail lights not working etc sounds odd. It sounds like a blown fuse that is being back feed from another circuit. Are you sure the fuse is not blown? Taken it out and looked at it? checked it for continuity with your multi meter. Also check no body has taken a fuse out of the fuse box and not replaced it. Hope that helps?
Mitch.W
yeah i checked every fuse in both fuse boxs. there are no fuses missing. yea i thought 8-9volts sounded wrong iswell. meh ill just take it to a auto electrician i hate wires...
