KKtrips
Well if you don't want the original Kent or a Pinto then you'll need more than minor mods then.. Unless you determine making engine and gearbox mounts along with a new drivehsaft as "minor mods"
QCADTA
have a look under ford in user projects. as said, anything more than a pinto is a bit more than minor.

Gaz
2l zetec & 5speed Sierra box is easiest for injected Dohc if wanting to keep Ford. Well apart from the cossie engine which will almost bolt in but will cost ya a fourtune. Needs: - Some slight flywheel mods - Water pipes re routed - Focus steel sump modified - Some meke loom triming/shortning/tricking and standard ECU or aftermarket ECU OR run twin 45 webbers - Engine mounts - New extractors - Driveshaft mods Or you could run a mazda/ford Fe engine + mazda 5 speed and do similar mods. Actually any engine would require similar mods just depends what you like. 4age is common but boring. Do yoiu want turbo, na, 4cyl, 6, Ford, using the car for what... what do you want? Also, have a search, there are 12 millions threads about this. Gaz

shizzl
if you want a newer motor with reliability and minimal mods then go with a 4age.. cant get more simple with them.. use a ke70 driveshaft and get a flange adaptor hub made up or get a custom driveshaft made up. cut n shut the manifold to remount the throttle body if its a fwd motor. new mounts and get the wiring modified so its a 3 wire hook up.. new fuel pump and ya done... 4age rwd extractors fit in aswell.. i was surprised how easy it was when i did my one..
