mjrstar
Looks badass Matt!!! Looks like it will be cold though Will be pretty cold on a frosty morning, although only takes a couple of hours of sun on it to get pretty toasty inside.. Pics with cars in plz novice camera operator but you get the idea.. and the other garage/disaster zone which has been storing the cars for the last year... ryanfels
You could do a gymkhana in there
xsspeed
The mini looks like a bad kid that's been sent to the corner. That's wicked mate you must be well stoked.
glen
I hope to one day have a garage this epic.
mjrstar
It's a bit hard to see the scale but the tall shelves are 2.3M high and the bench is 3M long...
ryanfels
you need more stuff
felixx
hells bells.. that is amazing. I am jealous as hell
mjrstar
you need more stuff The other garage is still a bit of a disaster zone but i'm trying to limit putting "stuff" into the new shed. If it's not a car, bits of a car, or something to fix a car it can GTFO basically..
felixx
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Heating-cooling/Heaters/Other/auction-398229462.htm Might be useful

Dell'orto
Immobile cars are suckful to push on carpet, especially with really tight diffs
mjrstar
^^ I'd imagine so, I only have a couple of meters running along the front of the workbench and cabinets.. I do need some double sided tape or something to tack it down on the edges a bit
ryanfels
So whens the hoist going in?
mjrstar
I'm in 2 minds about spending 4-5 k for something that I'd probably use less than a dozen times a year. We'll see... I might just make some rash decision.

I might just make some rash decision. A hoist is definitely the type of thing that you will use far more than you think you will once you have it. Even just changing oil, a hoist makes it so much easier. Could also charge it out to people you know for $50 a day or something to recoup some costs And it means you can store another car in there, if you are ever strapped for space (which is probably unlikely with a shed that size). KKtrips
If I had this place I would be saving/ticking up like a mad man for a 2 poster hoist. Talk to exige92 (Liam) about getting a cheapish hoist - perfect for hobby stuff AFAIK..
ryanfels
It will be like finally owning a rattle gun after years without one, you will use it for everything just for the sake of having it

mjrstar
^^ Pretty unkeen on a 2nd hand one and running the risk of a minor/major chrush injury? although don't really know too much about the other pro's and cons associated with what you get in different price ranges.
