Hey chaps, im hoping someone can help me before the morning.

So, if you've read my thread I went and made a 2.5" zorts straight through jobby with a twin muffler split in the rear. This is too big, as with most other things on my car. Ahwell, live and learn. anyway. It's too loud at the moment, so to quieten it down im going to put another muffler/resonator in tomorrow. Which of the following methods will work the best at reducing noise yet still allowing a rather straight through design?

and in the rear or my car at the exhaust tip end I'm going to be facing each tip upwards. Which one of the methods will work best?

I'm thinking either B or C to stop rain getting down there?? But will that restrict flow too much?

Thanks for any help guys.

make upward tip and drill hole at bottom to let water out. or is that too easy?

Yea I thought about that, but didn't know how much of an exhaust noise that would create, however, that is what I will do. I made the tips today so will drill them tomorrow. Or actually, I might jsut go drill them now.

as in 1 in, 2 out.

top left = in.

other 2 = out.

want to quieten down my escort and the only place i have room is under the boot floor.

so i thought. why not have twin pipes.

it had just one coby resonator. i went to muff services in whg. he sold me a free flow muffler. he told me it would be much quieter. It isnt.

So i want to put another muff behind the diff. and the only way to put a decent sized muff in is side ways under the boot.

would be heaps cheaper to use a 1 in 1 out and split it after the muffler

edit

so.. current side exit system on starlet is:

4age - extractors - 2"tube 150mm - 2" flowfast muffler - 2" tube 600mm - 90deg - 2" tube 800mm - 45deg dumpy - your ears.

its loud as, and as the system currently is i dont have much space for major modifications/addition of mufflers.

i could.. cut muffler out and put something quieter in? dammit.

squeeze a coby in there for fuck all silencing?

rip into the flowfast that was cheap and ad some more baffles etc? could be fun

secure a bunch of goldilocks scrubbing pads in there somewhere for the cert/wof and not care as they slowly get blown out until next wof?
