Mk1Mad
But then of course, you wouldn't learn anything if you did that so... And wiring is a cheap job you can do while you save for bigger things. Maybe have someone else look completely through it before connecting anything to the battery... That manual is pretty decent at explaining things. Truenotch
Would this be strong enough to hold pressure? Should hold pressure no worries. Cooling systems usually build up about 13psi so there wont be too much stress.... and that's the way all the old geezers seem to do it. My name is Russell
Will get it pressure tested afterwards as I'm not 100% sure on the overall condition of the unit.
My name is Russell
I think my little gas torch thing is at yours somewhere. Were abouts boe? have not seen it anywhere? have you got another gas torch yet? Your mum ... she has beautiful tusks.
Mk1Mad
Nah, got the door off with hacksaw and dremel so didn't need to buy blowtorch ($120 down to $80 at bunnings right now). I just cant find it around mine so assumed it may be at yours. Not really sure where it is.
Gaz
Will get it pressure tested afterwards as I'm not 100% sure on the overall condition of the unit. Pressure test = first time you run car hot. If nothing comes out then it = sweet. Gaz

My name is Russell
Thats all good would be happy to pay that if i had too, its such a mint size radiator, have asked a few rad shops for sim size and cant find any other than the small civic ones to fit in my space. Had a go at brazing ... nick and I concluded they are not brazed on maybe soldered? they didn't have the gold complection at the joins and looked more like solder. Meh will sort it cant be hard. Requiemk
youd want to soldier your radiator to fix leaks and use a real low heat flame to do so. seems like progress happens quite often here, congrats haha
Truenotch
Fixed my radiator fins with a propane torch and big stick of solder. It should work for relocating the inlet/outlet as well.
escortpat
Hi there. Just joined an was lookinn round when i seen a comment about your project. Do you have v6 capri struts an are you intersted in selling em. Apparently this is what i need for my v8 esky project. Cheers
Gaz
You don't NEED Capri struts. Escort ones can be used usually as there is little to no difference. Most people, including myself just upgrade because a. they want the wank factor, or b. they don't know any better and have just been told they need Capri struts. If you want them for the heavier duty spring just get custom springs. If you want them for the 1" drop, again, just get some custom springs. If you want them for the removable bottom arms, just get some early mk1 struts. All of these will save you alot of money over the $400MIN v6 struts. If however you want them for the heavier duty stub axle and larger bearing then you may be on the right track. Gaz
escortpat
Thats why i want em. Au falcon discs will go straight on as stub size is the same. Calipers will be 4 pot Skyline. Looking at also shortening the strut changing to coil overs and shorter inserts. By changing the inserts i hope to be able to change to newer adjustable caster/camber tops. Looking at a Koni adjustable inserts.

fuel
that thing to the left of your coil packs bolted to the manifold is your ignitor (dual channel for two coils), that bigger thing with the headsink fins looks to be the injector resistor ballast pack.
