Oh yeah forgot to mention. Its dereg, not really a prob tho with the number of mk1 wreaks floating round. It has been certed for everything there so its all up2 cer standard. Would have to recert anyways for CA and other shit so doesnt bother me much.

Will eventually set my ca back but for now it can run on std crossmember slightly moded. Eventually id like to run it right back with a V mount type rad/cooler system if there was room.

Thought bout RB but its thwe wrong engine for the car to get it handeling. Ca is prob similar weight to the std 1600 kent. I only want 200ish KW anyways so CA is fine for that.. plus ca = banging lil revy engine.

I want to roll it on those same rims Richies flattie had/has. Pretty lush B/A at the mo due to selling my other mk1, will be chucking all of that at this one so progress should be pretty fast to stat with.

Unsure on a cage still... How much better do they make the handling.. mk1's are pretty solid to start with.

I think I remember that car in Wellington a few years back - it was a blue colour and from memory it had either a gnarly v6 or a docile v8 in it..

Do you know any history?

hjaving trouble finding info but would like to know more. It did have a v6 capri engine in it. HE4619 was the plates if you could dig up more?

Gaz. How worked is the motor in the car you got? Was it fresh?

Dunno. Wasnt interested in the engine so never asked nor looked. I did turn it over to see if it was seized or not tho. lol.

He said it was strong engine with new waterpump, thermo, and some other shit. Carb needs tuning and thats all I know. I will try get it going and then can tell ya if it has a lumpy idle to it. Might even take head off and see how tight the pizzys are in the bore. Can check out ports on head at same time and get a general idea of engine condition.

Yeap sweet. I dont think its that worked as he would have advertised it so. He just said it was warm and went really well. I wont be doing that for a few weeks at least. Gotta get this damn cortina going then get both cars back to Welly. Could be a Cortina towing escort mission lol.
