The threads at the top have partially stripped on one strut where the top nut goes on. Half are still there so with a clean up it would work.

Diameter is about 45-48mm measured with a ruler....so cant be much more accurate than that.

EF and EG civicstruts are very similar in both size and mounting method (but quite a bit shorter) except that civic struts do not turn, adaptation would be required to put Subaru bearing plate on top.

IIRC the subaru clamp diameter is 44mm, the honda struts are 43mm or 38mm if you get the wrong ones.

Other struts that are worth a look are mitsi galant 94-98 (7th gen?), these too mount like the civic ones and have a clevis fork that straddles the bottom arm thus would need the bearing plate adapted to them.

When is easter?

Won't welding struts = insides go poo poo?

2 weeks ish away.

That strut looks to have a gland nut on the top?

If it does then its easy, if it doesn't then we can make up another plan, maybe cut the top off and I can turn up a threaded top section to make it a removable shock type dealio. Or hit up ben/andrew/another whk honda dude and make them work
