Brock-Lee
so keen for this to be slammed. Shotgun a ride at nats at somestage
johnnyfive
Yeah for sure, I can't stop thinking about getting the front more slammed now, keen to work on getting a slightly less legal pair of front struts knocked up and more slam-proof exhaust. Even though the sills/trim is parallel to ground the front has more guard gap than is ideal. But yeah, mild update soon.
Truenotch
Cars with sports wheel arches require rake to look right eh? It can only be a good thing.
johnnyfive
Note level sills, and piss guard gap. I guess Subaru weren't thinking of the rear wheels much in the 2wd models? Solutions to strip ugly paint from ugly mags GO! Tried aerosol paint stripper, poor results, will try paint stripper in a bottle/tin and a brush/dish brush. Good? Truenotch
If they have old lacquer it will take ages... I remember my old man adding a few coat of stripper to his superlights over time to get them stripped back. Sandblasting is sweet too. Vintage Grumble
I have some stripper that burns your hands through thick gloves. It is ace. Come steal it. Apply, soak, scrub, water blast, profit.
johnnyfive
Most excellent! Getting a W/A at 3pm and WOF at 5, might wind it back down for W/A but will have to wind it up for WOF, ggrr.

johnnyfive
Yeah, I messed up the rear toe by having the rear trailing arms off, and I think its safe to assume the front toe is up to fuck post slam.
johnnyfive
W/A complete, dudes at firestone LOL'd at me. WOF failed on rear wheel bearings noisey, should have expected that. Will get into it this weekend once I reclear my garage space at home. Also, drives like a BOSS/CUNT/BOSS
DB8-TypeR
I am looking forward to seeing this terrorizing the streets of Whakatane, used to see you often ride past our old house on your bike looking like you were up to no good. You should remake exhaust " downpipes" from stainless and polish the shit outta them.
johnnyfive
heh, I can't wait. I had thought you guys lived somewhere around there, so would occasionally make a bit more ruckus on my bike when I passed. Me and Dave theorized I could gain some clearance by looping the exhaust forward and over the whole motor, wouldn't quite be the same though. And it'd still be low @ gearbox crossmember. Vrumm Vroom car car. Exciting.
johnnyfive
Also, feel free to call in sometimes, I see you guys out and about rolling Torneo/Herald sometimes.
