I getting jelous so might try and save a little US$$$ to bring back and find me a project...

DO IT!!! Anglia or mk2 escort with forest flares :D. When ya back in NZL?

Gaz old man is bring n his escort down this weekend so we are going to get onto painting that straight away before uni begins preferably. It will be one of those 1 week jobs just like mine lol.

Got the windows installed yesterday with new chrome locking strips, hasn't had windows in it for a while definatly worth paying someone to do it even the specialest struggled a little he was getting his sweat on.

In saying that it didnt look to dificult with the correct tools. He didn't use a string either just a suction cup to lift it into place the worked the seal onto the window. The locking strip supplied by rare spares was one size to big so they are a bit of a tight fit, hopefully they dont pop out.

Chur boe. When ya coming back? Would be mean to see what ya could make of a ford after seeing all your other projects. Engine isn't quite running well but all the wiring is sorted which is good so can start her of the key, all the brake lights, horn, indicators, headlights etc still work which makes life a bit easier. Hopefully have her finished in the next couple weeks before winter sets in.

Um. Fly back into Auckland on the 12th of April, then heading down to the NP for a bit. Not sure what im up to from there. Maybe work in petrochemical in NP until grad. Also, am planning on sending in an app to work at Treble Cone for the season as its been mega fun over here working. Otherwise will head back to Welly and get a proper job..... Sounds mean with the wiring, at least it sounds pretty simple to sort, just follow a wiring diagram. Will be good to see it regoed and Wofed, Have you mounted the seats? Driveshaft Loop? Front Brakes?

GAz. Will let ya know when the Manifold arrives. and try and see how much it would be to send it back as a "gift"... haha.

Small update

Pedal box done with a new clutch cable tab welded in the engine bay, Accelerator cable fitted, brakes fitted with a new vacume hose.

Gbox cross-member has been mounted.

Driveshaft fitted.

Windows fitted.

Engine and electric fan all wired into ignition/switch.

Made a new alternator bracket from scratch to clear the booster, which has been installed and appears to work all good (took a few trips to super-cheap to get correct belt)

Also picked up a sweet 4.125 Diff from Uncle Jase he is the man :D

Next aim is to put some fluid in brakes and drive her down to the muff shop, can anyone recommend a place in wellington preferably near Kilburne?

Yeah easy as its just a solinoid kit, you can get them on trademe....http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... htm...easy to instal as long as your escort is the later model that has the door unlocking tab at the top of the door not the earlyer models that have the built into the handle.

Am just having a play around with installing the thermostat, newb question but where do ya plug her into the pinto? into the block or the head? It looks like it would fit into the blocks hole is that correct?
