  4. G clamped them to bench an hit them with flapper disc, didnt really take much off but went like shit an developed a spluttery rev 4-5k. its prob a "mod" for old shit SOHC derby cars, once they have been derby'd. but entertainment was had an thats all i was after.

  8. the only engine at pick a part i'd considered buying was the little red fiat uno, that stayed IMMACULATE for weeks on end, untouched. anything else is at pick a part for a reason, only reason i send wrecks there is cause its a free rubbish removal from the street, an there fucked! be going up tomorrow to grab yet another fucked l300 alternator, will have a look at price. a manual p6 wiht superlites sold for 800 on retradme few monthws ago, though the engine would be wasted in a escort an should be put in a mgbgt.

  10. for fifty bucks the engine with blowen head is yours! tho be quick on deciding as the cams wont be the same by sunday.
  11. Not that high revving and doesnt pull well over 12k. But thats probably more that the air box doesnt seal on the carb. Even with duct tape and silicone. Technically I dont mind sacrificing the bottom end pull for more theoretical top end pull, realistically I dont mind destroying the bike. It was a free. I will take photos of the cam lobe weld an hack job for your viewing lols
  12. thats what its about. none of the lobes will be within 2mm of each other. if it never runs again ill give it to a mate or take to the tip. not think of it again. though ill try it again on a single in a few months. its a hunk of shit gsx400x impulse, 400cc 4cylinder DOHC but with shitty twin port carbs. weak point on the bike. until 170-180 when coils show there weak shitty bits that should be on hyobag i have another running impulse to compare it to if it does go (badly)
  13. HOW MUCH METAL SHOULD I SPEW ON IT? Will work with ~10mm theory Engines already out its teh spare bike (oldschool as!) but have a complete running other one to compare it to. If it ever goes again will take some vid/sound footage There are shit cv carbs that never seal proper on it to. 8 lobes to fuck with = lots of fun theres no way an angle grinder and a welder will get to .01 mil but will get lumpy

  15. annoyingly twin cam but interested to increase lift etc wouldn i have to lengthen the lobe? or does hacking away the sides of the lobe do that? once ive had my fun with it ill give it away so not worried abotu fucking it
