CaMpylobacter
good, if you're not using factory driveshaft, esp with increased power. but yuh, shit happens etc. if you need a cert, it costs fuck all to sort a driveshaft loop,

thminiman
pretty much a loop that the driveshaft goes thru... i dont think it has to have any form of bearring. just so if it snaps its not gonna go thru into the cabin.
Toucan
Yer, no bearing, its not attached to the d/shaft at all, just a loop around it to catch it incase it breaks.

TOYOPET
if it did fall out it would fall out at the diff end wouldnt it? Thus it just dragging along under neath and you inside car going. WHAT THE FUCKS THAT NOISE. have seen it happen before in queen st auckland. some homo in commy trying to do a skid in front of us then *PING* driveshaft comes away from diff hits the ground adn proceeds to turn and bounce all over ground while hes goin "oh man i blew my diff...." so technically it would only flip the car if you were traveling backwards at like 100k.... yeah? Snoozin
The way that driveshaft loop amendment to the LVVTA guide is worded is quite ambiguous as well, as it could imply that only an engine upgrade which gives a significant power increase necessitates the requirement for the loop. Took out 7 cars when the driveshaft broke in his Mk3 Cortina and polevaulted him over in Aussie about 10 years ago. Car was standard too. The biggest risk though is it coming up through the floor, thats why it needs to be a 360 degree loop. Callum we are talking drive shaft falling out somehow. but if the rule says its for significant power increase's then i prolly wont need one... we only going up like 200cc from standard...
