  1. Sorry, worst suggestion ever.. It will never look right and the Mk2 range is one of the best catered for models for spares ever. David Manners http://www.jagspares.co.uk/home.asp I have used these on a couple of MK2 restos, lovely braided looms. Remember the Alternator loom is different to the generator one and you need to order the separate gauge loom and rear harness for a complete rewire. get all the grommets too and the thing will look a million bucks
  2. Can't believe you got Jeremy Wells to narrate that clip..
  3. Check your timing please and fix all vaccum leaks before attempting any carb tuning. Thanks

    Oxy sensors

One should be fine, did it have a third one further downstream? How many wires to each O2 sensor? You would have to give a signal back to the ECU via both plugs so splicing together may be an option
  5. The carpark in Countdown was built to also accomodate patrons of other local businesses. Part of them being able to get the resource consent. So technically as long as someone buys Rice Bowl we are sweet, as long as no one is disorderly they can't move us on. It also is a double level carpark, I suggest we meet on the lower level as it's mostly empty
  6. As a Newtownian, I reccomend a drive up to Cafe laz for the best kebabs/iskendars available in this one horse town. I shall also attend as it's metres from the Chateau Du Davison
  7. Fifth and final recommendation for a Dave Vizard book, read the Pinto one and decide to drop a real motor in..!
  8. haha, may allow Crowns on a provisional basis. No Stanceworks/flappers/1uz's style.
  9. There is a certain triumph GT-6 that's just begging for you to come back and finish.. Also no jap sedans allowed in workshop sorry.
  10. Currently in the market for a new Mechanic here at my workshop in Newtown, I specialise in British cars, European and Vintage cars and bikes. I need someone confident with a Whitworth spanner and experience with european vehicles and not going to groan when a Range Rover or Alfa pulls up. Hours and pay rates negotiable, interesting variety of vehicles and a warm well lit central workshop make it a sweet place to be. Licence, own tools and transport go without saying.. Willing to consider any level of skills, enthusiasm counts a lot in this job. Contractor work available, at a higher rate. Even if you know someone suitable or interested let me know- it's getting hella busy here at the moment.. Cheers, James
  11. The ghost of Alfa Romeo owners past are ripping them off as you drive, you shall never defeat them. Just give in and fit a set of pirelli P6's
  12. headrests back please, remove dumb red stripe from bumpers- and it's far too shiny. I recommend hitting it with 1000 grit, followed by a few litres of battleship grey. Go
  13. hehe BJ....... another place to try for a quote is the asian guys in Wigan street, by Havana. Never used them but my dodgy warrant guy next door swears by them, cheapest hiace type vehicle rust repairs and dent pulling in town

    Ned's Vespas

Please, please sell me the Sportique, is the other a VBB? I need a new frame for my 177 Polini wheelie motor.
  15. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/volvo/auction-561862296.htm this guy, Damian Trybula. has heaps of Volvo wagons and stuff like Super Snipes and BMC stuff, despite this he isn't a weirdo but a GC and in the trade. Make contact and he'll send you the good shit.
  16. I have nothing to add except cool bike and Phillips made mopeds also, definitely german. double dare you to try get it off the clock..
  17. Please get the workshop manual, the steering column is a bit fiddly but if you chop it you may as well throw the bikes in the bin. Cotter pins are fiddly, but once you get the technique down they are easy. new ones are available and a great system if it hasn't been bashed about.
  18. -Then sell to me when done so I can shove a little alloy head hemi motor in it and terrorise the hood. ps, make it black please.
  19. if you look at the lowlight/series 2 rear guards they have huge wheel wells, the later ones cover the wheels more/stanceworks
  20. Oh and I mean rear guards, lowlight for life.
  21. awesome job, going pillarless or putting frames back in? I vote for straightening up the top of the B pillar and Minor 1000 guards
