  1. what are the block numbers? I have a 681f block instead of 711m and I had to get different engine mounts made as the block is a bit thinner at that point
  2. and fuel pressure reg has been fine, it has a gauge which has also been fine, have not adjusted it since installing https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=AS_20180112114510&SearchText=tomei+fuel+pressure+regulator and the price is right. tbh I think china AN fittings arent too bad either these days
  3. I carry an extra fuel pump, but havent needed it in the couple years it has been converted. if its tight up under the car, I would spend the time cutting and welding the body of the car over welding the fuel tank
  4. For a return line, I would suggest putting it into that access plate 100%. Fuel tanks suck to weld, and the danger of making it explode are super high. I welded my escort fuel tank and it was a nightmare. Made it go boom after what we thought was thorough cleaning, although no damage to tank or people luckily. Also the material cracked around the welds, ended up sending it to a radiator repair shop and they spent hours soldering it up I used a tomei fuel reg from aliexpress, it has been legit. My car currently also has an aliexpress bosch 090 fuel pump. Can I also suggest that you do a good bunch of research before committing to some of the components, as the price of fittings/adapters can get a bit crazy
  5. awesome man been looking at some parts, but they are always out of stock on banggood
  6. out of interest, what kind of speeds need to be achievable/sustained for this?
  7. try taking it apart and taking some dimensions, might be able to find a replacement part
  8. cant try sterling clutch and brake for brake hoses? I often see yank tanks in there
  9. legit man, going to cast your parts from melted down wheels?
  10. Hmm, I think to re-enable it, you would just turn it back in? Or remove the whole needle and oil would leak out everywhere. It sounds worthwhile investigating that disable function though. Possibly an o-ring/débris has become stuck somewhere. Hydraulics are pretty powerful though so would have to be stuck in there pretty good. When you say it’s stuck. Do you mean it is absolutely stuck, or maybe it retracts really slowly?
  11. The valve to release the pressure is a needle valve of some kind im guessing, I would check there first. And some internal or external springs return the ram to home position? they are all good? Could be that valve is releasing but nothing is actually pushing/pulling the ram home
  12. you got a sweet hipster bike and a macbook pro man, you should be a graphic design expert and be able to rotate pictures! sweet looking bike though
  13. you should also ring up rarespares and tell them what wallies they are. Bad repro parts are such a pain in the arse
  14. I'll try the plastic bag trick next time. so often they are super hard to access though. the rag trick often doesnt work as the oil doesnt start absorbing straight away, so it just drains into more places. Might try the hole trick too
  15. Is there a way to take horizontally mounted oil filters off without oil pouring out everywhere? heaps of cars have this setup, and many dont seem to have oil stains below the oil filters from previous oil changes. I always drain the sump first, but 95% of the time, the oil filter is still loaded, mess is always made worse by undertrays too
  16. I use solidworks, but thats because I use it for work. I'll have to look at fusion360 one day I have an anet a6 printer, its fairly legit, especially for the money What is the 3D printing software you guys use? I use Cura as it came with my printer, unsure on cons/benefits of other software
  17. Can you tell me what the exact problem is? do you have an existing pipe in the ground thats busted? Just looks like a random puddle of cow? wees
  18. awesome man, whats the speed like? From memory, when I had it as a 2 speed setup, I got it up to around 65-70kph how is the engine running with the new carb? It should rev to about 9000rpm. When I first had it, it would get up there, but as things broke it started to have a break down in ignition
  19. Nice, theres lots of things I can research here. Need to figure out what is best for us, at the moment we have been using Omron NX automation controllers, but damn they are expensive even though we get huge discounts on the gear. In fact everything servo related is fucking expensive. Keen to visit delta tau, especially since the CEO's name is Dimitri Dimitri
  20. can you take a few more measurements? There is a link below which has the main dimensions of 06b-1 chain, which is what we call #35 chain in the metric world http://www.fbchain.com/roller-chain-size/06b-roller-chain-dimensions-iso-r606 There are lots of different chains out there, so really need to measure a bunch of stuff with calipers and compare
  21. Mean I can start with them, we are using Omron mostly at the moment, but only because they are much cheaper than Festo and they approached us. But its hard to tell what the standards are as there seem to be so many brands available
