    Don't use a Kia or Hyundai Santa Fe one. I've had to tow several of them that have locked up and won't disengage. Car becomes useless.

    Double check those tie rod ends are right. Are they even locking into the taper? It looks as though there's a massive step on them instead of a gentle taper so they may not even be going far enough into the knuckle? Could just be me looking at a tiny screen on my phone though.

    Yeah, you can get cartridges in many types, specifications and levels of ability within those specifications. The better they are, the more they cost.

    Just remembered it's about three hours to Wanaka. Enthusiasm waned. 6 hrs minimum of driving and probably two tanks of gas. Probably be a $400 Sunday.
