grantdavis28
Maybe try some museums / private collections and see if they want a sweet old unmolested Datsun in the mix? Wow, yea I had not though of that. I will get on to that ASAP. I am a member of the ZCLUB, and I know they are often doing events to car museums around NZ so I shall ask them. Thanks for that guys! 0R10N
Have you tried this place? http://ablestorage.co.nz/ Chuck the keys to someone trustworthy who can head out there every couple of weeks to keep the tyres pumped up and the engine turned over. Threeonthetree
A large Nissan dealership may keep it on display in their showroom for that period of time.
M_C
Don't container it, unless you line it, or the container will sweat and rust your car to buggery!!! The you store places are $50 a week for a garage I think. Is this container rusting hard won personal experience, or internet rumour becoming fact? I ask as I am also in need of 2 year storage for my Mk1 Escort and am a bit precious about her. As a lot can change in 2 years I was thinking for renting a place rather than mates shed. Are the storage places built from containers OK? Generally have roofs over etc that may help?

Attend the OS shed tour on the 11th of July and you'll see the result before your very eyes.

Are the storage places built from containers OK? Generally have roofs over etc that may help? Hard earned experience, I have a FE VX490 sitting in my shed right now that will need all the previous restoration work re-restored Containers can be made fine, but they need 1. checking through everynow and again, because they rust and begin to leak. 2. Airing out because they attract all the mosture in the air, which condenses on the roof and drips all over the car during the morning, and then turns back to humidity in the day and F$%ks everything! 3. lining with ply , then they become a nice garage without all the problems of 2.!!! Come and check out my Vx on the shed tour!
