jake.
Yo this be the discussion thread for my ke70 //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/46354-jakes-1983-toyota-corolla-ke70/
Beaver
Looks super tidy! Cant say aim a huge fan but I think thats because 99% of them have a dumpy, modgies and rank bolt on flares. Would be nice with some decent wheels and otherwise untouched! Nice height too
63Ragtop
Very tidy, well done.
Big Value Buddy
Cool, this must be the mint looking one I've seen around wellington, after seeing the 'Old lady steez' ad on trademe. Good work.
jake.
There will be no modgies, bolt on flares or dumpy's going anywhere near this thing!! Have seen how some of the Japanese do these up and they can look super cool methinks. might post up some inspiration pics so you guys can get an idea of the style I like

Roman
There will be no modgies, bolt on flares or dumpy's going anywhere near this thing!! Have seen how some of the Japanese do these up and they can look super cool methinks. might post up some inspiration pics so you guys can get an idea of the style I like The 'Japanese' style is pretty much the only thing people seem to do now, I dont think I've seen a dumpy or bolt ons for 15 years haha. Have a search in the project section here, there are a few very cool KE70 projects kicking around already! Also, google 'Motorfix'. I would say they are the most hardcore KE70 fans on the planet haha. Also if you're planning on lowering it some more, which I wouldnt reccomend. Have a read on the camber laws and tire laws. Makes it pretty well impossible to have a road legal example of what you're likely planning.
Seedy Al
camber laws. its not like its IRS roman
Roman
My car has a live axle... But to pass cert I had to have 0 degrees camber up front, as factory alignment is positive 1 degree. Makes any plans for low at the front a bit of a mish, depending on tire/wheel/offset/etc.
Seedy Al
lol. fair enough
jake.
@seedy al, yeah that was another idea i had, would look quite cool with pinstripes! @roman, i still see that sort of thing fairly regularly, but yes doesn't seem to be as popular as it used to be. Will most likely be focusing on keeping this thing looking super tidy and just chucking it on some sweet wheels.
jake.
http://high-top-fade.blogspot.co.nz/2012/03/ke70-toyota-ke70-corolla-at-honmoku.html love the look of that ke70 ^, would get stickered for the tyres 100m down the road over here though ahha not sure if its easy to do twin headlight conversion/kinda like the singles anyway. Brennan
hey, incase you haven't seen it, this is what mine looks like with that spoiler. I also cut and rounded the ends of it down a bit so they aren't pointy. also from what i could find, those fender mirrors are the same as factory DX spec Ke70.keep it up, looks realy clean. jake.
Looks good man! love the mk2's. Yeah they are, kind of going for an original look at the moment with a few subtle things. Won't be putting the lip on til i've got wheels sorted though, are you running coilovers in yours?
Brennan
Yea, ae86 powered by max coilovers with gx71 struts and techno toy tunings hybrid knuckles. Soon to have ke30 Lower control arms to when i get around to fitting them. For my track width and camber.
jake.
The 86 coilovers and gx71 struts seem to be the most common way to do coilovers for the front in the ke70s. What are you running in the back? I need to have a read through your build thread again haha
beachlander
Can make some out of your standard struts with sleeves. 86 stuff carries quite a price tag
jake.
Yeah been looking at a few prices. Can those weld on sleeves be certified easily? Would prefer something body adjustable but if its alot cheaper then that would be the go
