Hayholes mum
There was a boy with a sausage pipe on his bike. He had no vagina so must not be a dyke. Of his sexuality he was in great doubt, So he rode to Gays Knob to check that shit out. After a very long night of rectal destruction Russell arrived back home with some clear instruction... Dont walk through central park or you'll get raped by men, And never run a sausage pipe again.
My name is Russell
Hi Oldschool After advice like usual. Bike blowing bulbs instantly. Just replaced the voltage regulator. No luck still does the same. Battery is connected up properly and charged at 5.1V What should i be looking at next? Earths? Scratching head. My name is Russell
Also whats this thing with the number six pointing to it. (its not in very good condition but has continuity across it) I presume its something to do with the coil. so not related to blowing bulbs? diagram
AllTorque
Ballast resistor?
My name is Russell
That shouldn't have any relation to the regulator should it? Just checked headlight and regulators earth, they both seem fine back to the battery.
AllTorque
I don't really know bike stuff but they shouldn't be related. The ballast resistor is only going to reduce the voltage so shouldn't cause bulbs to blow. What voltage do you have across the battery when it's running?
kicker
What is the resistance like on the light circuit? Any corroded connectors?
Mof
I notice in the pics you don't have a tail light, does it need a tail light to take some of the load? Probably not but I'm just thinking out the box
Hayholes mum
Just keep putting grungier bulbs in until it stops happening.
oldnrusty
does have a tail light, above the number plate
BlownCorona
thats not actually a coil ballast resistor. though it looks to be the same component. its only in the lighting circuit, so could be your issue. its the 'resistor' in the wiring diagram, next to the coil, but not actually related to it,
