flyingbrick
Does anyone do it here?
DJZ
Yes, a mate had some done for his VQ30, the guy that did it can only do side feed injectors as far as I know.
ArborEX
Where are you based? E&H motors in Pukekohe do it, they also have a flow bench to test them.
flyingbrick
Hamilton. I'll give those guys a call to make sure they can do what I need. Place in the states does ls1 injectors out to 1,000cc and its pretty damn cheap considering new injector cost!
MRWEST
DTech Motorsport in Tauranga do it all the time, few mates have done subi injectors...your right its cheap increase for what new ones cost.
Testament
The thing is new bosch 1000cc injectors (or even siemens 800's to a lesser extent) are linear so the engine will actually idle/run at low load ok.
ProZac
I injector resizing I've seen can only be done on disc type injectors, not ones with pintle caps. It involves just filing the end very very carefully until the disc comes off. Not having the disc there messes up the spray pattern a bit though. MRWEST
Some places "Recap" them from memory with a bigger cap to increase flow but not mess up the spray pattern.

Rookie
Why would you bother when mint Bosch 1000cc injectors are so cheap?
flyingbrick
Because I'm cheap. But yes they are cheaper new than I thought. Can get ls9 injectors taken to 1000cc for 200usd. http://ls1tech.com/forums/fueling-injection/1401753-fuel-injector-resizing.html What are injector dynamics injectors like? They are pretty
MRWEST
honestly if you want to get it done, talk to Dave at Dtech Motosport. They do them properly so that spray patterns all good and flow test them to make sure they are all within kuwee of each other. And its not a huge cost either.
J-Calico
Arent indy blue 1600's like $80-90 each? A few people should be able to do this, I have a mate here thats able to do many different injectors. He says, "if it cant idle or run nicely with very little load right with big injectors, who ever tuned it cant tune for shit" haha If the situation ever arose, were he tunes a large injector-equipped car for myself, I'd hold him to that comment. But yes they are cheaper new than I thought. What are injector dynamics injectors like? They are pretty Pretty good I'd imagine, alot of top quality motorsport builds are using them of late, they seem to be the bees proverbial knees
Rookie
ID1000's are just bosch 1000s that have been flow tested and put into matching sets.
eke_zetec_RWD
What are injector dynamics injectors like? They are pretty i use 800cc injector dynamic injectors on my escort. think i payed about $450 for a set of four. no issues with them. most require balist resisters though. Rookie
The 1000cc ones are definitely high z.
Testament
richard at msel does those xspurt ones too - Ive got a set for the vx motor from him - i cant remeber how much but it worked out pretty much they same price within $20 or something as the best deal i could find of ebay/internet/overseas and they turned up the very next day. I got some from fuel injector connection for the carpi but that was a few months earlier and there was quite a price difference at the time from memory

MSEL
i use 800cc injector dynamic injectors on my escort. think i payed about $450 for a set of four. no issues with them. most require balist resisters though. Injector Dynamic injectors do not require ballast resistors - they are all high resistance / high impedance / saturated injectors - even their 2000cc injectors. This is one of the strings to their marketing bow - you can run them on pretty much any ECU available without the need to ballast resistors.
