kurt.
Sweet. Thanks. It's not. Will explain more latter. How do I add an image directly rather than a link?
xsspeed
when you click in the reply box, on the 2nd line of the tool bar that pops up theres a icon with a tree in a frame, hover over it and it says "image". Click that and paste your url in there
Threeonthetree
When you post a reply or write a new post, the line above the box that you write in has some symbols. One looks like a green picture (next to the <> symbols). Click it, then copy and paste the link to your picture in it. EDIT: Beaten by the guy with excessive speed. kurt.
I can't see anything. Haha. I think it's cause I'm on an iPad. I'll try the computer latter. Thank you all for your help
kp60nick
Hey man tidy starlet. i found when using picture hosting sites like photobucket etc. on an ipad it can flip them in all funny ways so i downlaoded this app called Imgupr pretty sure it was free and it's real easy to use. Just upload photo once uploaded press get embed codes. Then copy the code with at both ends of it. Then paste it in the reply bit down the bottom of the page.
kpr
maybe worth strengthening the mounting points, if you are going rear coil overs. both on diff and chassis. i know some of the ae86 guys have had trouble with the diff mount bending, using coil over rear. which is similar setup to kp depends how many jumps you are going to do i guess!
Ned
man, you sure are doing a top job! very jealous!
kpr
springs will need to be captive (springs both on top an bottom seats when at full droop) to be legal. so yeh, you will likely need keeper springs.
kurt.
Bloody hell! I had the exact same problem woth the rear and got a engineer to move the thread down so now there permanently on there lowest setting and not adjustable at all! I don't have my car but I'm guessing with these at there lowest setting is where I'll want them
kpr
they look fairly short. bottom spring seat will likely end up in the middle somewhere. so a normal sized keeper should work.
kurt.
I'll take your word for it. Can't exactly go and sort one out till I get the damn car back.
Beaver
lol, those definitely are not legal at the lowest setting/anything other than the highest by the looks of it. Spring must be captive when car jacked up. Figure out what height they need to be set at to get the car where you want and then go from there. Might be able to use keeper springs, or might have get the shock shortened.
Snoozin
You wont shorten that shock if its the KYB adjustable damper one they use. It has the adjuster through the middle of the shaft. There's heaps of travel so just use a keeper
Beaver
keeper will have to be obscenely long if he want so run at lowest setting tho...
kurt.
I will have to wait to see what height I want to run itat. Options at the moment are keeper spring or get new longer springs made. Waste of money in my opinion. Should've made my own.
kpr
you pretty much need to run a keeper, unless you get your shock length spot on, at the ride height you want. as without the keeper you really only have around 10-20mm (more or less depending on spring rate) window of height adjustment, with fixed rate spring. unless you run an adjustable shock body setup longer springs aren't of any help. the massive threaded section alows for keepers.
kurt.
Fingers crossed a keeper will sort it out. Went and saw my local spring guy and he said he can sort out quite a few lengths of keepers etc. just wait till I get starlet back. Basically I've learnt not to buy things from America that needs a cert. as apparently they don't have anything like that over there
