Seedy Al
slash just buy KK's and moddify the axle so it drops down in the center
Ned
Meh, I want to build my own So stub axles, hubs, hitch, lights, cable, plug was ~$300 shipped. To get precut steel is ~$500 but I'll just get some lengths and cut it myself to save some money. Decking is about $40 Then need wheels and guards... Ned
Can be done a lot cheaper if you use second hand stuff I guess.... But I have the money from the Lada so can do it once, do it right

CaMpylobacter
god damn. you got a bit tucked on those bits/I never pay retail. are you just going to cart velocycles? Also, bulb type lights? festoon bulbs? God damn you're gonna have trouble keeping bulbs in them
Llama
Where are you getting your steel from?
Ned
No idea yet... But don't wanna buy 6m lengths and would like delivery if available as I have no trailer yet
My name is Russell
Might work out cheaper just getting 6m lengths? Can't have to much steel
Llama
^this. I would shop around, and see what comes up on the tard, a few weeks ago there was a liquidation of a trailer making place that had heaaaaps of steel going real cheap. Bling
Just get 6m lengths chopped and strop them to the LS. Keen to see this progress.
Corbie
Buy KK's trailer and use it to haul steel / already have a trailer.
Vintage Grumble
Even tho you're using a good size SHS, its still quite a bit of force to put on one small area of weld (drawbar) I hope your atleast going to put gussets in there? Remember the velo bike incident .......... LOLS.
Vintage Grumble
ALSO, the drawbar should go alllll the way through to atleast the center of the deck, rather than having it welded onto the front of the first cross section, be WAY stronger. Seedy Al
yeah I actually totally agree with that I retract my previuos statment
Vintage Grumble
ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND as far as I know, rhs/shs all comes in 8 meter lengths, they will likely charge you to cut it to 6, so may work out cheaper just to take the 8's? Chris.QCR
My trailer aint welded to the centre. However its made of 75x50x3 drawbar welded to a 50x50x3 perimeter floor . then the axles are welded to 50x50x6
Steelies
shit, i'm crazy excited. anything thats given it's own thread is both maximum excitement, and implies ridicule if not completed.
