kyteler Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Avenger's are the tits. Had one as my first car and when i was growing up my mother had an Alpine Avenger 1600TC, it was fookin' coooooool, sweet gauge plastic all in your conical. Quote
jakesae101 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 only you Jared could roll a car at a autox although you did try and fail at the gravel sprint in the pimpin galant with its racing slicks on Quote
Simon Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Ah man did not realise that was you! Loved the brake late and turn technique for the corner closest to the tent. Made many sweet slides. Quote
JoKer Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 haha yup - spotted a few faces today but I am shit with names backtrack is way more fun for me for obvious reason! needs new brakes now & next time better cooling for radiator - gauge was only just back into the normal section by the time all the other cars had been round and it didnt even get a chance with the short last few runs also fix rev counter may help instead of just listening to it... great day Quote
Truenotch Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I've got a couple of vids if the Avenging skids from my incar... Best OS period skids of the day! Quote
jakesae101 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 imagine how much better the skids could be with another 10kw jared not a bad effort with only 35kw Quote
JoKer Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 haha or a hundy! blimming solex's just sitting on shelf teasing me now - pricing up a tune for them in the new year I hope they fit and work just run shitty - no idea of the set-up in them Quote
mixmasterlex Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 For 35kw, this things looks to get loose! Fun. Shitty about the battery coming loose. Loose. Quote
JoKer Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 new vid uploaded now (found me camera cable) shows the run previous! check it at around 50-55 seconds - is reason why battery was 'looser' Quote
jakesae101 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 i had a moment on that corner the other year from memory going up the hill Quote
vivaspeed Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Cool car, funny to see it turn up again... My uncle used to own it from the 80s until about 2000 when he sold it back to Weirs. Had a couple of good crashes and was completely re-shelled in 1992-3 after it fell over on a hillclimb. It used to have some good bits in it and was damn quick for what it was. It had a couple of HBCC championships to it's credit from memory. Need to build an angry new motor with some Webers on it! 1 Quote
R100 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Avengers are awsum. Heres a pic of my old beast from back in 2002. 15" Simmons and an injected 13B. Quote

JoKer Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Header discussion comments thus far from FB : Cassandra Sharples top one has cooler looking trianges..18 minutes ago · UnlikeLike · 1 personLoading...Cassandra Sharples triangles rah18 minutes ago · LikeUnlikeBrad Laurenson top. more banging (looks more tuned would be my real answer)18 minutes ago · LikeUnlikeTim George Top one I would say due to better flow of gases as angles are slighter. Higher backpressure will be achieved with bottom one due to tighter angles from the manifold.15 minutes ago · LikeUnlikeJared Mulinder have had comments that the OEM casting will 'hold' more heat' keeping temps down14 minutes ago · LikeUnlikedBrad Laurenson more heat = less heat how?3 minutes ago · LikeUnlikeJared Mulinder they hold more /conduct less i suppose - theory sounded good, also kinda prefer OEM due to they support the intake manifold, if only for that reason14 seconds ago · Likeedit temp post will be deleted in a tic Quote
Beaver Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 those extractors were custom made, equal length runners etc (according to duncan). possibly have been port matched to the head on your engine as well. tbh as youve got them off id run the top ones/extractors. otherwise give them to me and I will haha someone will actually be able to tell you why they are better/the same as factory ones/worse Quote
JoKer Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 mint the kind of info I have already forgotten but handy to know! Quote
ThePog Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I'd say the top one would be best, looks like it has equal(ish) length primaries + it is a 4 into 1 which will probably be peakier at the expense of low down torque. Also cast manifolds are poos cos I say so. Quote
