10Speed Posted September 18, 2011 Author Share Posted September 18, 2011 turns out straight cut gears are no stronger, they just reduce thrust loads on bearings & cases etc. Hopefully I have located a couple of dead moped engines in the states for a pretty low price (+ huge shipping costs), will know more later in the week. But, in short, it won't be running for the Grinderfest this weekend )-: However I should be able to piece it together and have it sitting there...
