10Speed
wasnt going to start this thread until I had everything ready for the build, but Bubblegoose probably needs somewhere to reminiscence/express envy

10Speed
17 inch wheels - which is just a bit larger than a typical bmx wheel (if that reference helps)

10Speed
plans convert to top tank stlye frame, and try to figure out how to get a variated transmission - currently its just a one speed... kind of a cross between: looking for a yamaha/minarelli jog engine to see if I can cut/machine the tunnel of and make adapting plates for my frame... unless anyone can think of a better way to get variation? bubblegoose
variation is for pussys ps, i hate you mopedjunkyard.com will also empty your wallet for you/bigbore kits
10Speed
Variation gets the ladies... and already have shopping lists at: https://www.treatland.tv/ (stuff from here usually arrives within a week as well ) http://www.1977mopeds.com/
tortron
have a honda pal engine less the head and piston, plus the case/alternator area was smashed. doesnt effect compression however all the variation is there prime example to cut up interested? Bombsquad
I fuckin love that orange one, wish i could find one of these to do that to for some unknown reason
10Speed
quite a good build thread on the orange Puch here: http://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/discuss ... 92/117892/ torton will bear it in mind, but will look for a horizontal minarelli based engine in the short term... bubblegoose
http://www.treatland.tv/puch-70cc-cylin ... -party.htm i had that kit, although the die grinder was taken to some areas also pack the base of the crank cases, its not like the gaps are needed anayway big front facing carb and a long skinny expansion chamber will see you right was hitting 55mph (from a stock 27) on std gearing but shit did it move once it got into its happy zone. over taking cars when moving from 30 to 40 zones ahhhh good times

Bombsquad
^^ Looking at the blue one, fuck it must be hard/uncomforatble to ride the orange one with those drop bars
10Speed
yeah it must be, they feel pretty small with those regular bars... think rear pegs might be in order when I fit the clip ons on another note, rear transmission from a Vespa caio has been orderd off ebay this morning... Bombsquad
Please ditch spoked wheels and get sweet mags like the orange one. Also Marzocchi monsters would be sweet forks, not sure what the orange ones running.
10Speed
wanted to get the mags, but won't work with rear transmission - need to lace a larger rim on as it is... and I think monsters might look a bit odd with the equivalent of a 21inch bike wheel in them... though I do have a spare set of 66's at home... that orange one has after market moped specific forks which is probably what I will end up with... heaps cheaper than mtb forks as well, is quite funny in the moped forums people slating anyone who fits any bicycle part to a moped. They all seems to believe its inferior to 30yo oem stuff... no one thinks my DM24's are safe...
10Speed
got a minarelli engine: missing the rear variator, oil pump system and carb but will do for figuring out purposes... came out of an Adly Fox
