This needs to have a wof for easter / nats so...

Pulled or rather smashed the screen out today. What a mission. Will pay someone to take out a laminated factory windscreen from now on. Factory silicon stuff is a nightmare. Destroyed a steak and butter knife, ended up using a huge machete thing.

Was good to get the bit of rust that was starting to get under there. Primed it with rust primer then painted it to try keep water out.

Got some black silicon in a new gun but forgot to get the end nozzle thing. Will manage without.

Not keen to try fitting by myself so will get someone to help me.

Next thing is swap the rear brakes back on for the front ones that are on the back at the moment. No hand break for wof etc.

Sick.

Get on my balls.

Car was white prior to black. Read what I wrote in the post re painting it red / with something that isn't going to soak up water.

I'm going to use this Silicon stuff.

It says it will stick glass to anything. Not paying premium for a tube of "windscreen urethane", but mainly I don't care - as long as it holds my windscreen in and does not leak I shall get wofs and stay dry.

I happen to know black silicon is a bitch to get off anything that it touches.

Take ur urathane and stick in in urass

Just put it in.

Silololicon everywhere.

/ looks pro as. Should have been a shower installer.

Used little foam strips to keep it off the screen seat.

Will be very surprised if it leaks or falls out when I shut the doors with the windows up.

What a fucking sweet project update

lol, what I would have said has already been said.

nice idea that

taping it to the roof

Thanks, yes I take no responsibility for coming up with that idea but I would have after about 10 seconds of putting the screen in and having it slide down the front of the car haha.
