Raizer
I thought the head was better aswell? Na the heads seem to all be the same really, it is "better" in that its the only FE DOHC head with fittings for RWD waterlines

Guest SE_ROLLA
hey low n slow meean escort dont come on the net much, jus happend to stumble across your escort i like the engine i got a corolla dx with an fe3 u might have seen it on another site it looks a bit shitty there at the front it looks way better now just needs paint this top picture was taken probably 2 years ago, ive had it for about 4 years now. i took the 4k out about 6 months ago eventualy turbo but just n/a for now coz its cheap the engine was sitting out in my garage for about 5 yrs so that was free, the gearbox is a b2000 i got for $200 probably 2 1/2 -3 yrs ago lol, and the most expensive part of my build so far is my radiator which was $300. my intake manifold is a standard one cut at each end and swapped around, i did it because it only cost me 40 bucks to get tigged. i plan to have a custom one like yours made when its turbo time, untill then its a mongrel fwd manifold sticking out the bonnet. its a tight fit i can only just get the cambelt under the bonnet. My name is Russell
Hey SE_ROLLA Welcome to OS Cheers for posting info much appreciated . What part of NZ are you in? Yeah its tight under the bonnet for me also, only 10 odd mm clearance. What forums do you use re this engine the best i have come accross is mx6.com. What did you have to do to make the B200 box to fix? Chris

sry_not4sale
Highest spec ones make like 150/160hp. Having a look at the codes on the cams will give you a good idea of what spec level yours is... FE3N == good

Honda Ass Dragger
Yeah thats Dan from Huntly Ive seen alot of his work and never not been impressed, plus its all steam pipe so no cracking like shitty stainless Steampipe FTW
Gaz
Dont know what his prices are like now but they used to be pretty pricey, Well, not cheap anyways. It was $600 I think for an integra turbo man in steam pipe. Maybe thats the going price I dunno, alot cheaper to fo yourself. But yes, his workmanship is good on this set im talking bout. My name is Russell
Oh yup sweet cheers mate i will get a price from him. Iv been offered from a fabricator in palmy to have a custome tig welded steam pipe manifold, he said he would do me a twin scroll manifold for $400 which he said he would normally charge $500 as he is a fellow fe3'er. I need a twin scroll manifold as im going TD05, which is more difficult to make. He has turbo'd have a dozen FE3's already and and two examples he gave me where that he has got 215rwkw from a stock fe3 with altered cam timing on 11psi boost with a rb25det turbo and 323kw from one that he built for a customer and now owns. So yeah may get him to make me one $400 seems reasonable, especially as i probably couldnt make a twin scroll myself.
Gaz
You dont need twinscroll if you get EVO 1,2 or 3 Td05.. Evo3 TRD05H would be the one to go for, it flows 505CFM.. I think twinscroll is to help it spool faster, I guess it isnt ba, I think there is a thread on it here somewhere. Evolution 3 Turbo = TD05H–16G6-7 Nozzle Area (cm2) = 7 Turbine = Inconel (steel alloy) Compressor = Aluminium, 68mm wide TD05-16G (small) 345-365hp @ 22 psi TD06-16G (large) 365-385hp @ 22 psi Ask Fuel, he = Mitsi god. Think the Starions also made an 18g which would be the go, but prob impossiable to find. Can go Td05/06 (06 being a truck turbo, think Canter.) 20g... Lagy but would/does make masive power, not really suited to your engine.
My name is Russell
The turbo im bidding on is a re built TD05 HR - 16 G - 10.5T ... i was told by two different people that it is a twin scroll. If it is not all good just means its cheaper to make.
Gaz
That is either Evo 5 or Evo 6 GSR so it is twinscroll. Also those turbos spin the opposite direction to normal. Dont know if this is bad/causes problems. I myself would go Evo 1,2, or 3. But thats only cause you dont have to bother with twinscroll which I know nothing about.. It may be as easy as just a nice manifold,, what happens if he makes a shit one tho,.. does this effect the spool majorly or is there tolerance for fuckups.. meh, I dunno. The wvo 1,2,3 turbs would also be cheaper and a very similar turbo.
My name is Russell
I asked on 'the other' forum and they said the direction is sweet owl you just Build the manifold to suit the direction of rotation if you can. The guy said he he could show examples of his work and basicly said he is a very good fabricator and does his work to a very high standard.
